We recently stayed at Crvena Luka Resort in Biograd na Moru. The setting is stunning—nestled in a quiet, scenic cove with a private beach. Our room was nice and modern, the grounds well-maintained, and we enjoyed the food and peaceful atmosphere. It’s a great spot for a relaxing holiday.
Unfortunately, our experience was soured at checkout due to a frustrating billing issue. The bill showed we paid €308 via Expedia, and only incurred €288 in expenses—suggesting a €20 credit. Despite this, the receptionist said we owed €20 but couldn't explain why. After waiting 15–20 minutes, the manager arrived and immediately took a defensive and accusatory tone, implying we were trying to avoid paying.
Even when she presented a corrected bill that showed the €20 was legitimately due, she refused to acknowledge the earlier error. Instead of accepting feedback or offering a simple apology, she talked over me and deflected responsibility.
It was an unnecessary and stressful end to an otherwise pleasant stay. The resort is beautiful, but management's handling of a basic customer service issue left a very poor impression.
