Travelled with family

What i liked about the hotel was its distance from the venue we were attending. It was a pleasant 20 minute walk to the Hanger which was hosting the event we were there for.
The hotel itself was what i was expecting for the price but there is definite room for improvements.
We couldnt get breakfast either morning of our stay as the chef was ill, which added extra costs to our stay having to find a restaurant/cafe to eat.
The rooms could really do with a bit of TLC. We had a twin room with two single (very small) beds, im 6'2" and my legs were out of the bottom.
Tea/coffee facilities consisted of 4 single sachets of coffee and 1 teabag.
Both wall lights were broken in the room so only had the main light to work with.
Bathroom was adequate but realistically the bath needs removed and shower trays fitted. Bath surround was broken and sharp. Toilet seat was loose and cold tap in sink was running constantly unless you had the force to twist it shut.
Could do with a deep clean, floors were slightly dirty and i found a glove sticking out from the bottom of the radiator. There was a sign on the front door telling you not to slam the door as the glass was loose. Heres a thought, fix it.
Overall, to be honest, it done the job but truthfully like the advert on tv says "shouldve got a travel lodge"
