This property is pretty much exactly as the listing photos state. And leading up to the stay communication with the host was fine. The digital app the building uses is perhaps the poorest experience I’ve ever had with gaining access to the building and unlocking the loft. However, that’s a minor frustration.As soon as we stepped foot inside, both of our allergies went crazy. We had trouble breathing, were coughing, and we were both congested as we were having a severe allergic reaction to pet dander and hair. We also found trash in the trash can, and multiple bottles of someone’s body wash in the shower. Though the loft was clean overall, we did find pet hair and dander on the velvet pictures on the couch, We immediately contact the host and let them know that the space itself was fine but our allergic reaction would not allow us to stay. We indicated we would like to come to some sort of partial refund as we would not stay in the unit for any of the four days we booked. The host simply responded they had been in the loft that day and there might be pets in the building but not their loft. They offered no solution and we are now out 700. Beware.
