Hotel is in a central convenient location, around 10 minutes walk from Train Station. There are plenty of nearby shops, eateries and convience stores to meet all your needs.
Hotel is modern, clean. Check-in was quick and easy; albeit reception is located on 2nd floor so need lift access before getting to your room. The lady checking us in was pleasant and engaging.
After check-in we had to make our way back to reception as only 1 of the key would work. We asked for dental kit but this is chargeable at this property. One of the lift is out of service so they have allow guests to use the service lift if needed.
We went out of the property a few times and had trouble getting back in through the automated doors. Sensors seems to be disabled or temperamental. There were instructions to press the button for entry at either side but that doesn't seem to work too well for us.
I have booked via Expedia with this stay instead of using my IHG profile. I have emailed ahead and supply my IHG membership details so my preference could be met. I received an email to advise I won't get benefits or points for stay.
On arrival none of of arrival preference on my IHG profile had been looked at. We were allocated a room lowest floor and nearest to the lift.
Also there was no special preference for being Expedia Gold VIP. Perhaps this hotel does not participate recognition with Expedia.
Overall, really like the location, ambience, breakfast was plentiful. Staff seems polite and friendly
