Location was good and it was cheap, so wasn't expecting too much. Room was small, but fine for a single. WiFi worked well and shower was hot. Breakfast was basic, but enough to start the day. But the downsides were there are no hooks anywhere in the room! The stairs up to the room were filthy. I stayed 4 nights and my room wasn't serviced at all! It was noisy at times too and mattress wasn't comfortable. Needs a bit of TLC!

The room was lovely....appreciated the beds in family room. Room was clean but corridor and stairwell v dirty. Ensuite bin hadn't been emptied and sink was blocked so water wouldn't go down. Breakfast was meagre and poor quality, v little choice. Staff polite. Not sure how it passed muster to get on hotels.com

The woman who helped us check in was SOOOO lovely (unfortunately I forgot to get a name). The room was cozy, bathroom was nice, lovely shower. Also, very close to O2 academy and city center.

You get what you pay for and this was the cheapest room in Birmingham at the last minute. In the dark the area and place looked a bit sketchy when I arrived - especially being a solo woman traveller, but by morning light it was fine. Lovely staff upon check in. Very basic and small room - but clean linen, towels and spotless bathroom. Tea & Coffee facilities in room. Many reviews mention steep skinny stairs which is true, but as i didnt have luggage it was fine.

Good location and great value. Room was very small but very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there was nowhere to store bags or clothes which made it very difficult to get changed etc as the little floor space there was was taken up by our belongings. Could have done with just some hooks for coats at least, which there seemed to have been at one point but they were missing. Still a very good option if you need somewhere comfortable to sleep for the night. The included continental breakfast was decent and 10% off drinks at the bar was a nice touch too.

Initial entry shows the carpets a little grubby and scuff marks all up the walls as you climb the steep stairs. Uncomfortable 2nd bed in our room as it dipped on one side. Grade 2 listed building so no double glazing to protect from the traffic noise Limited choice at break but all options were fresh and consistent. Awesome friendly & helpful staff Room clean with fresh towels and plentiful tea/ coffee supplies. Indian restaurant attached comes highly recommended Our 3 night stay was fine for what we needed it for.
