A Bit Tired and No Fresh on site Catering
We have stayed previously at the Grand Courlan prior to Covid lockdown 2020/2021. We thought we would stay again this year and hope service was similar or better, but it was not.
Room was OK, tired, broken drains in shower, sink missing plugs and very dirty. Furniture tired. Maid service poor.
Service was slow, be it at breakfast or when ordering lunch at the bar which takes over an hour to get delivered from Waves, 100 yards away.
We did enjoy the stay, as we know the location well and the beach was great to walk and enjoy daily. The resort swimming pool is good and well maintained, although no pool bar at present due to lack of guests and maintenance.
The hotel breakfast restaurant “Pinnacles”was boarded and padlocked up, but no work was being done on it. So very disappointing as this was one of the reasons we stayed. So breakfast served in small area downstairs and food was poor. Cold old and stale foods served daily for breakfast. No fresh cooked food was served, all of it was from buffet containers that had been out for hours.
The resort could be great again, but needs care and attention, especially rooms and staff.
Fingers crossed management start by improving service and invest in mainteagain.
