Beautiful property
A group of 11 women starved here. The location was perfect and the chateau was as pictured. Lots of room. We would stay here again.

Who wants to stay in a castle? Me!
We stayed at Château Borgeat de Lagrange in late June in celebration of the 10th anniversary of an annual gathering friends & family. There were 16 of us total: 8 parents, 8 children (all teenage and older). We had a wonderful time!
To start with, our host, Estelle, was super helpful before, during and after our stay, including introductions to local chefs and photographers, as well as renting a van and shuttling us around St. Emilion one day.
The Chateau itself was very much as advertised. Grandiose and inspiring, it transported us out of our daily grind and into a wonderful mental space for our vacation. While the top floor did get a bit toasty during our stay (we were there during a bit of a heat wave), the entire group had a wonderful time and the Chateau was the pedestal that we stood on to make it happen.
Thank you Estelle and Château Borgeat de Lagrange for a special visit!

Amazing!
This property is amazing. Estelle the host is truly amazing, so helpful. I have booked a few properties all over the world and never had such a helpful host, the others tend to put barriers in place but Estelle couldn’t have tried harder.
If you have anyone who struggles getting upstairs just be mindful and maybe don’t put them on the top floor. The bedroom with an open bathroom probably needs walls. The basement area probably need some tlc but that’s being picky.
Blaye is cute too, we went to a wine festival which made it even cuter.
I would definitely come back. We did a food delivery with carrefour to the chateau (you need a French SIM card) which was handy

Just beautiful
Can’t say enough good things about this wonderful place. The grounds are amazing, Our host was friendly and informative.
We enjoyed the Chateau so much that we only made short trips into town to walk through the Citadel and local shops or to grab groceries.
Take advantage of the vineyard tour and tasting that the Borgeats offer. You won’t regret it.

A Dream Wedding Experience at Château Borgeat!
My husband and I were fortunate enough to choose Château Borgeat as the venue for our unforgettable wedding celebration, surrounded by 14 of our dearest family members and friends. From the moment we set foot on the grounds, we were swept away by the enchanting ambiance, and our experience was elevated to pure magic thanks to the exceptional efforts of Estelle.
Throughout the entire planning journey, Estelle stood by our side as an unwavering pillar of support. Her expertise and attention to detail were instrumental in bringing our vision to life. From coordinating the intricate details to ensuring a flawless execution, Estelle's dedication shone brightly. Her guidance made the entire process smooth and stress-free, allowing us to truly savor every moment of anticipation.
A highlight that simply cannot be missed is the captivating wine tasting experience that Château Borgeat offers. Estelle's deep knowledge of the winemaking process and her passion for every vintage she presented were truly inspiring. This experience not only enriched our palates but also deepened our connection to the surroundings and the history of the estate.
Our hearts overflow with gratitude to Estelle and to the beautiful Chateau Borgeat de Lagrange. Our wedding day was an absolute fairytale, and it wouldn't have been possible without her dedication and warm hospitality.

Fun week in the sun with friends
11 of us (6 adults, 5 children aged 9-15) enjoyed a week at this property.
We mainly spent time by the pool which was of ample size for our group. It was clean and the electric cover made it easy to keep the leaves out overnight etc.
The bedrooms all had ensuite facilities which were well apportioned (showers and some with baths) and the rooms were all spacious. Shower gel/shampoo included.
This property (and vineyard) is clearly a labour of love for the owner and it is not finished. Some areas were closed off to us as, we assumed, they hadnt been renovated. But that didn't stop there being plenty of space. In the evenings we had one room for people who wanted to play French pool (a pool table without pockets) and another for those who wanted to chat etc.
We took about 30 minutes to walk from the property along the river/estuary? into Blaye for lunch (booking required for our size of group).
The local supermarket is c 10 minute drive and provides everything needed to self cater. That said, the kitchen facilities which include an oven, 4 ring hob, and dishwasher, werent enough if you wanted to cook separate meals. We mainly had BBQs though.
A few things to be aware of:
1. 5 bedrooms are on the top floor. There are, according to those who counted, 82 steps from bottom to top which makes you want make trips infrequently. There is no bathroom other than the bedroom ensuites.
2. The wifi works well but there is no TV
We would happily return!

Incredible venue
Estelle was the perfect hostess, giving us a historic tour of the chateau before leaving us to enjoy the various spaces on the property. We would definitely recommend the tour of the vineyard and wine tasting. Beds were super comfortable, bathrooms very clean and everything you need in the kitchen. The many stairs to the top floor are narrow, so probably won’t suit those with limited mobility. The town of Blaye is close by and is worth a visit, especially the local market which has a fantastic selection of fresh food. We had the most incredible time and would love to come back! Five stars!
