Such a good vibe here

I loved my stay at this property. Its definitely got some character with a boutique vibe. Good price to stay just a stonesthrow from Cascade Park, the 1st state park right the in Bloomington. Theres a trail at the back of the property that leads downhill to the park. This is worth your time, its a cool park. Room was clean and perfect for me I slept well before moving on down the road. This is a must stay if you are looking in this region. So much just a short drive away i hit up Marco Polo in downtown bloomington. They have great dining options down there. Great town for me to kick it for a night. Together we aint neva gonna be alone!
Here we go. No smoking folks. They have a little spot over bear the trail I think. I dunno Im done with all that shi.
All i needed with a nice touch to it.

While on a road trip with my son we were looking for budget and we found a nice stay here. When we pulled in the parking lot we were a little shocked. This hotel is old. The land-scaping is a little much. The parking lot could use some work. The lounge and check in area are dated, with bookshelfs loaded with books for the college students. So we head to the room, open the door, and jackpot!!! It seems that the money goes back to the room. The room was well put together and so comfortable. The night was peaceful, with quiet time starting at 10 which was not needed. Also, the clerk was so helpful, going to the maintenance shop to get a tool for me to disconnect my battery. This place is a winner as the other reviews show.

Rooms were large, spacious and nice. My only issue was that the shower is quite low so I struggled a bit and I’m only 5’8…but otherwise it was great. I imagine in time they will likely switch it up to hand held

I loved the perennial gardens and the courtyard. Romantic, whimsical feel. We hiked down the path to Cascades Park, and it was lovely. Quiet, peaceful stay.

Well. We having staying here 5 or 6 years in a row. And it keeps getting wand worse. Should’ve known when they took the phones out of the rooms. Breakfast used to be excellent and Now it’s a Joke coffee not even hot no hot food at all very disappointing. There’s a bar attached to the hotel very expensive for what you get.

Was this the best place in Bloomington? Absolutely not! Was it the best deal? Absolutely! The exterior was rough but the interiors were great. Cheap for what it was; a great bargain.

Convenient for a stop off the highway. Very friendly staff. The common areas could use some work and updating but generally fine. The garden is pretty overgrown and neglected but ok to sit out and have a drink.

The bed was OK comfortable. And they did have hot water. The place needs an upgrade bathtub had tons of chips in it. I wasn’t sure if the bathroom floor was dirty or that was the way it was supposed to be.. they had absolutely drop dead, gorgeous flowers and landscaping. However, it was all being killed by Virginia creeper.. Dom was AMAZING!!

Positives: I loved the serene courtyard garden. The hotel staff was helpful, and the room was very clean. I appreciated the hotel's off-the-beaten-path location and the hotel's vintage sign was cool. Improvements: The hotel exterior needed refreshing with paint and cleaning and weeding.
