Mid-century modern in signature Blmtn neighborhood

I am the second owner of this 1960 authentic mid-century modern, which was designed by the architect-owner. Extensive modernization of the electrical, networking, and lighting ensures that you have a comfortable stay. I restored all of this home's original features, including the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom tile.

The main level features three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, plus kitchen, dining and living room.

Downstairs is a totally renovated finished basement. It is a legal bedroom (hence the 4th bedroom) doubling as a TV/bar room, with a full bathroom and laundry room. It has a king-sized American Leather sofa sleeper that sleeps 2. This is the best sleeper sofa available, featuring a Tempu-Pedic mattress.

Parents visiting their kids can take a break from student life and enjoy time to themselves. The city's best bar/restaurant is a 3 minute drive away. Or use the chef's kitchen and entertain in this statement listing!

A Mid-Century Modern Oasis

We gathered as a family from 4 states to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Bloomington and this VRBO was big enough to accommodate all 6 adults. The house was stunning with artwork and amenities that are rarely found in a VRBO. The towels and bedding were top notch and the beds were so comfortable. I loved the little touches of humor throughout and felt very comfortable in the space. The kitchen is outfitted with top of the line everything and I think it made me a better cook! The neighborhood is very quiet and close to everything you would want. I also thought the pricing was extremely reasonable for the house and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area with a group. David was so kind and responsive and helpful to me during what was a stressful time running up to the visit. I cannot say enough about his hosting and consideration. Thank you!

Elevated Family Time

We all gathered to celebrate my son’s senior music events at IU. We needed a landing place to enjoy time together and celebrate that was comfortable and fun for teens through grandparents and near campus. This house hit all the marks! Sometimes working from home is better in someone else's home

My husband and I were feeling overworked. We couldn't actually take a vacation but figured working away from home would be a nice change. And it was! This house was everything we needed. It's got two desks! (Thats hard to find in a VRBO house.) It's in a quiet neighborhood that was great for dog walking. Inside is everything we needed and wanted. Comfy beds. Well-stocked kitchen. Fun art. Amusing book arrangement. Reliable internet. Fluffy towels. Easy-to-open windows. Clean everything. The bar has certainly been raised for future vacation rentals.

Family forever memories

Perfection! Excellent, efficient and prompt communication was greatly appreciated! The home was very clean, spacious, and it was ideal for our family gathering with spacious rooms for privacy, yet large, warm, open areas for family activities and dining! This host has thought of everything a family may want or need for a home like gathering. This was an ideal home for making forever memories playing games, cooking, and long meal times around a GORGEOUS round marble table. The art, amenities, preserved original mid-century- modern interior was FABULOUS! Our family will remember this getaway for many years to come!
