Ibis Styles in Bochum has practical and clean rooms. It is ideal for a short stay (study or prpfessional) or for the weekend. The service and the brakfast are good and the personnel is very helpful. There is always hot water for a cup of thee and a newspaper if you feel like sitting in the lobby. There are a lot of shops nearby, the tourist office is 8 minutes walk and there is a Mc donalds, a KFC and a cinema at the same building. One thing makes this hotel less enjoyable and this the noise. I had a room at the front but there are also rooms at the back of the hotel, so you could suffer some noise from the train station. At the front it can be loud and noisy - mainly on Saturday and because of the people going out in the evening, that was at least my experience. The hotel is in the city centre so it is normal. There are as well some homeless people around, mainly in the morning and in the evening but they do no harm. All together a good price/quality ratio! :-)

Das Hotel ist für eine Nacht (nach dem Grönemeyer-Konzert) ok. Frühstück auch ausreichend. Lage am Bahnhof zwar zentral, aber nicht sonderlich attraktiv. Man sollte dazu sagen, dass es kein Ibis-Hotel mehr sondern ein B B-Hotel ist. Wir waren bei Ankunft etwas verwirrt. Expedia sollte das vielleicht einmal ändern.

Das einzig wirklich gute, war das freundliche Personal. Mir wurde auch gleich ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, aber da vor mir auch schon eine Dame eine Beschwerde vorbrachte, habe ich das Angebot abgelehnt. Das Nichtraucherzimmer roch nach kalten Rauch, die Gardine hatte sich ein kleines Stück aus der Gardinenleiste gelöst, es waren noch vereinzelt Haare im Waschbecken, und das Zimmer wirkte insgesamt schmuddelig. Zudem war es ziemlich hellhörig. Hab keinen Palast erwartet, aber für 89 Euro mit Frühstück doch ein Mindestmaß an Sauberkeit und Wohlgeruch.

Einmal aber nicht wieder

Die Zimmer waren sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Der Fahrstuhl hat schon bessere Tage hinter sich. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße raus. Ohne Ohrstöpsel hätten wir nicht schlafen können, da es dort auch nachts leider sehr laut war. Beim Frühstücksbuffet gab es leider seit 2 Tagen abgelaufene Butterpäckchen. Diese wurden nach Hinweis jedoch gleich entfernt. Wir würden dieses Hotel nicht noch einmal buchen.

Einfach und schnell zu finden, Bahnhof nebenan, Öffis aller Art in der Nähe, nette Mitarbeiter, Zimmer nicht riesig, aber alles da, Badezimmer neuwertig, Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig, freundliche und farbenfrohe Einrichtung, für die Lage echt ruhig. Komme gerne wieder.

Nie mehr wieder

Das Zimmer roch ganz schrecklich nach Rauch, sogar die Handtücher haben den Geruch angenommen. Es war nur mit offenem Fenster zum Aushalten. Daduch war die Lärmbelästigung vom Hauptbahnhof wegen der Lautsprecherabsagen sowie der Einfahrenden Züge sehr unangenehm. Das Bad war sehr dreckig. Aus der Lüftungsanlage hingen die Staubfäden hinunter. Das Hotel ist auf keinen Fall zum Empfehlen.
