Very good choice for a stay in Bordeaux. It's in a great area, walkable to most sights and the train station. The hotel is very modern and has an adequate kitchenette for breakfast and lunches. Close to lots of restaurants and a good-sized grocery. Also within walking distance of the Marche Royal - St Michel and the Marche des Capucine for wonderful fresh foods. The bakeries are too tempting for words.

We loved the location of this hotel but we did have one issue. Our hotel bed, specifically pillows, smelled like vomit. We called front desk and they provided new pillows the next morning but the smell did not go away so we think perhaps it was the mattress or headboard. Anyways, we otherwise had a good stay. Great location, front desk is friendly and lobby is great.

The room was comfortable enough for a short stay although the bed was squashed into a small space and was difficult to get into and out of! . Unfortunately there weren't enough towels in the bathroom and only one tea bag and only enough coffee for 1 day. We requested another hand towel, more tea bags and coffee and more milk, but only the coffee arrived. Breakfast was however good value and the café au lait was lovely. Staff were always helpful and friendly.

The room was fine however the shower was faulty and would go freezing cold in the mornings and on some occasions stop altogether. The air conditions was also faulty which meant it was so loud that it could not be used. It sounded like a bag of spanner’s in a washing machine. The area that the hotel is in is not very nice, dirty, lots of homeless and did not feel safe in the dark. However in fairness only a 2-3 mins walk from the much nicer historic part of the town. Check in lady was rude.

We had a split level suite, with a ver comfortable king bed upstairs and two half sofa beds available downstairs. No window upstairs and the one downstairs had no view. Pas de problem. Parking was very easy. The onsite guest laundry was also simple to use and washed/dried in one cycle per machine for 5e total. Nice! WiFi excellent. The TV would not work with a laptop over HDMI, but did permit local media playback from a FAT32 USB stick. Breakfasts were of a good standard, though without the usual eggs bacon sausage. Very quiet in the room, and great staff in the lobby. Would choose this property again.

Staycity Aparthotel is conveniently situated for the old town so everywhere walkable. The rooms are clean and quiet and the courtyard garden we overlooked lovely. Staff pleasant and helpful and always available. Cafes and restaurants near the tower of St.Michel and of course in the old town itself. Transport is nearby. Rooms were well equipped and breakfast plentiful. We all agreed an excellent place to stay.

Excellent location. Only the parking was a little challenging. You have to enter by the back and follow steps to get in. Finding a spot to stop on narrow streets to get into the hotel to get these instructions is extremely difficult. It would be nice if they just sent them to you when you book and pay for parking online.

There was confusion when we arrived as the room we chose was not what we were assigned. Thankfully, due to the efficient staff, our room was changed the next day. The manager was excellent and made our stay a pleasure. The location of Staycity is great, so I recommend the accommodation highly. In general, the rooms are clean and well maintained (our shower tray however had a crack in the centre of the tray). I would be careful with the Expedia website which can be disingenuous when choosing a room. I will know always take screenshots if I am choosing a room on the Expedia website, as I do not want to arrive at a venue again and have to justify why my room needs changing again. Be aware of Expedia booking system.
