Family room only a small wardrobe with six coat hangers - Between three people not enough room to hang clothes Air conditioning in the room was great in the very hot weather. The beds were very comfortable ( great mattresses) and weight of quilts were right for the summer) Room cleaning staff excellent, room was very clean and staff friendly. Reception staff, professional, helpful and friendly (especially the 2 gentleman on night duty for the morning we checked out early on 19.07) Cooked breakfast varied in quality day to day, some days very good, others not quite as good. Good continental breakfast options though. Table service was very good with friendly staff. Breakfast plates were clean but many had a gritty feeling to them underneath ( guessing dishwashers may need some attention?) Secure Car parking ( pay at reception) was good General location great for town centre and amenities and close to seafront and a lovely park. Quite a steep hill coming back to the hotel from the town centre - challenging for anyone with health conditions or walking difficulties. Loads of places to eat out But from our room view it was blighted by fly tipping on a disused car park which was insecure despite fencing around it. That was the first thing you saw on opening the curtains. Hope that is soon sorted out! Overall a really good hotel for a short stay, maybe one or two nights, but not the best for a longer stay.

The staff in reception at arrival were far less welcoming and friendly of those on the desk the next morning. The bed frame had stains of some type all over it - luckily we were there 1 night just to sleep - but given this we have lowered our review. The waffle maker is a great addition but the cooked breakfast was overly salty and inedible
