Was informed that there would be music till 1am which was ok with but it lasted till 4.25AM…did not sleep very well and neither did the wife. Had water dripping through the ceiling at one point in the early evening and was told that someone would come and check and change the room but nothing happened!! Would not stay here again. Room very old and worn…hotel needs a lot of money spent to bring it up to a better standard.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was served in the lounge-bar area, it wasn’t buffet but you could order anything from the menu. Came for a concert at the International Centre which is literally across the street, so it was a perfect location. Also 10 min walk from the beach. Very recommended! Thank you :)

Check in was great. Very friendly guy on reception. Very impressed at the downstairs of the hotel and bar area. Rooms are a bit tired. Very loud from the nightclub until about 3am (and we were on the 3rd floor!) Not sure that much bass is really needed! Maybe I’m just getting old!

I was on a solo trip and this hotel was perfect for my needs. Location was brilliant turn left for the beach, turn right for the town and restaurants. The breakfast was freshly cooked in the beautiful bar area. Reception staff were very helpful and made my stay so good.

Would highly recommend. The room is excellent and the ensuite is the size of our entire room in London. Has great old world charm and the food at the restaurant was exceptional with a very welcoming host.

The staff was extremely helpful and professional! The hotel is over 100 years old, and sadly, it needs updating! If you book understand the age, and your room will need updates. Also, there is a nightclubs on site at hotel, which is loud and very active on Friday and Saturday nights. It can interfere with sleeping. Due to the need of updating and nightclub, I am rating as a 3. But, again, the staff is fantstic!

Music until 5am!

Arrived to find the car park was full. Completely disinterested reception staff advised me it’s ’first come, first served’ just what I wanted to hear after a 5 hour drive. No sympathy, just ‘you can park next door, they are cheaper’ next door was a car park on a rocky bit of land with a steep uphill climb. If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. Room was fine, shower pressure was not, at least the water was warm. Fun fact, my room was 54 yards from the nearest nightclub (according to Google) which played music until 5 am Saturday morning and 4am Sunday morning. Breakfast was fine, overall experience was fine, apart from the car park and loud music. Would not recommend if you’re looking for a good nights sleep

Perfect weekend

Stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it . It’s a beautiful old building with a lot of original features. I had a single room and it was very nice.

2 minutes from the BIC

It was ideal for the BIC we were able to just cross over the road from the hotel to see Gary Barlow at the Bic .Lively music on the Friday in the hotel and next door if you want a quiet hotel its not for you, but if you want to dance the night away you can!

Great venue

Fantastic overnight stay at Royal Exeter hotel in Bournemouth from start to finish. Friendly staff, good room, delicious breakfast. Went to a show at the BIC and loved coming back to extend the evening at 1812 disco afterwards. Will definitely be back!
