We loved the hotel and its closeness to the BIC, city centre and beach, plus easy car parking which was another £12 but worth it seeing where it is.The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, we had no problem changing our room as the first room was very clean but unfortunately had a very stale odour, the furniture was very tired and we also had very noisy people above us. There was absolutely no hesitation in moving us to a lovely suite on the 3rd floor which was unexpected, but once again needs maintenance and tweaking done on it to make it a fantastic suite again, the TV was unwatchable but we were out most of the time and the shower wasn’t very powerful. The breakfast was also very good and great value. We understand that the hotel has new owners and all we can say is the Hotel can be grand once again with its many rooms, we really hope they succeed. We would definitely return. Good Luck and carry on with the renovations.

Never returning
Checked in and was given a some sort of apartment with a double room and a single with a bunk bed. The door towards the double bedroom had the top hinge broken and almost dropped on my 4 years old. Furniture and walls had stains, carpet looked like it was after a party with spilled beverages. I dont thing the windows have been cleaned this year. Went to reception and asked for another room. The receptionist was very kind and apologised, then changed our room. The new looked cleaner (at least bed sheets were). Every door in this hotel creacks. The doors towards lift had a spring door closer, but not soft close. Whoever was getting in or out that door slammed every time (not very comfortable to hear that over night, doubled by the floor which creacked at every step). We are not picky and i usually dont leave bad reviews but this time i couldn't hold myself. Parking overnight is £12 (oitside, private entrance) while a friend paid £6 at Premier Inn, underground. We'll definitely not book again at this hotel.

excellent very spacious room very friendly and helpful staff, especially the manager or owner who was always at reception. Three night stay close to the beach and shops, I did everything on foot. I highly recommend it and I will definitely stay next time in the city

the reception was clean. After that everything was extremely sticky and dirty. paper cups in the room for tea and coffee. I booked this room for a colleague, and When asked to change rooms because of how dirty the room was, she didnt feel able to lay out her toothbrush and flannel it was that bad, the receptionist was quite challenging but did change the room which was slightly better, however you could hear every footstep and she heard someone being sick in the room above me. We believe other reviews must have been fake. When asked for ironing facilities there were none. Also there was nowhere to eat. It was so bad that we had booked 3 nights and she checked out after the first night, the Receptionist did not ask if there had been any problems or if she had enjoyed her stay
