We stopped for 1 night. The rooms were absolutely spotless, had everything you needed for a B&B. We were able to check in sooner than 3pm. the food was lovely. Great location, there was a hotel with a bar within about a 15 min walk. The couple who own it were really friendly. Weve already booked up to go back in june.

This was a good location for what we wanted, we were visiting Vindolanda, Chester’s & Housesteads, these were all very easy to get to by car. Breakfast was nice, we ate here in the evening and again it was all good. Small but nice eating area. Friendly staff.

I stayed here one night on my way down to the Lake District. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent as was service. (I particularly appreciated that they had gluten free bread available in the morning.) The room was very clean and charming with french doors opening to a private deck. There was a kettle, but a small fridge would have been nice. There was ample parking close to the door. Hosts were very friendly and easy to chat with. There are some walking trails so I was able to do a bit of birdwatching. Apparently a lot of their business if from people cycling or walking the Hadrian's Wall routes. I would certainly recommend Blenkinsopp for that. It's within walking distance to the wall; and well set up for bikes. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
