When you walk into the office it’s very deceiving and looks nice. Once you go around to the back rooms, it’s absolutely disgusting. People were outside doing drugs and dealing them out right in front of my car, absolutely dirty and disgusting. If you have kids, do not even think about staying here. They refused a refund and laughed in my face when I said I was extremely uncomfortable and do not feel safe at all. Did not stay there, do not stay there.

I chose this property because it looked nice, boy was I fooled. The pictures are not what it seems. There is not a tavern next door. The room was NOT nice and the location seemed shady. We walked in the room and turned right around. We got our money back and went elsewhere. The carpet was gross, the funiture was broken and chipped, and it was so outdated it appeared to come from the 1950's. It looked like it could have been a setting for a low budget film.

Everything was fine. My only note is that the desk clerk who checked me in couldn't provide the hours for the restaurant next door -- which is literally attached to the motel. (For future reference, it's open until 8 except on Friday and Saturday, when it's open until 10). When I asked for other recommendations, and the clerk told me there were restaurants "downtown," with no specific names or locations. In contrast, In contrast, I stayed as second night at a different place in Brattleboro, which posted a list of nearby restaurants and hours in the lobby, and the desk clerk there -- a trainee -- recommended specific ones. Not a huge big deal; just something it might be good to remind staff that tired out-of-towners arriving in the evening would be grateful for specific advice.

Never had the chance to stay. Was told twice that check in wasn't ready despite it being during their check in. Window. Then after checking in we get a room that smells like someone just smoked a pack of cigarettes in there just before we got there.
