Dear Management Team,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment with our recent stay at Porepunkah Pines Holiday Park, where we had booked a standard cabin.
We have stayed at many of your parks previously and have always had positive experiences, which makes this visit particularly disappointing. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst accommodation we have encountered, and we made the decision to leave after only two nights due to the unacceptable condition of the cabin.
Upon arrival, we were confronted with a significant ant infestation throughout the cabin not only in the kitchen area but also in the beds. We had to spray and wipe down ants ourselves immediately on arrival. Regrettably, I did not take photos of this at the time, but it was extremely distressing, particularly with children present.
The photos attached clearly show the overall poor condition of the cabin, including:
- Severe damage and deterioration to cabinetry
- Unsanitary bathroom fixtures
- A dirty and poorly maintained kitchen tap
- Dirty linen found on the bunk bed underneath the sheet
In our view, the cabin was not in a suitable or hygienic condition to be rented to guests.
In addition to the accommodation issues, my children felt unsafe walking around the park due to dogs barking aggressively at them as they passed caravans, which further impacted our experience.
Given the circumstances and the fact that we had to cut our stay short, I believe it is reasonable to request compensation
