Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
We have stayed here numerous times, when we first started staying here the place was always enjoyable, food was always great however the last few times we have been there are certain areas that are now letting it down. On this occasion we arrived around lunch time so we ate in the bar as that was open, the food was great but the place now stinks of wet dog, staff were getting dogs to run around and bark and the number of dogs now appears to outnumber the amount of humans. There were a few couples who you could see were getting frustrated just trying to enjoy their food but when the dogs are running around and the place doesn’t smell appealing you could see they weren’t impressed. We also had what was classed as the best room in the hotel, the deluxe suit however yes the room was nice but once again it stunk, it was a combination of a damp smell and dirty sewers. We use to love coming down every year however unfortunately we are coming to the realisation that the place is now becoming over run with dogs and it is affecting the quality of service, cleanliness and the standard of the hotel. When we notified reception regarding the smell in the room all we got was we will get maintenance to look at it. They must know there is a smell problem around the hotel now due to the amount of diffusers scattered around the place.
