I emailed several times to find out the parking situation no one ever got back to me we show up and we’re told they have three or four properties in the property we’re staying at is next-door on the third floor six flights of stairs the breakfast that they advertised is three blocks away at a whole different property it just wasn’t what I expected

For the price paid it was a perfectly adequate stay. Downside to the property was the fact that all day and night there were prostitutes all lined up down the road - not nice experience.

Hotel is really close to North station, the neighborhood isn't so bad, the only problem is all the ladies on the hotel street. The hotel is a small building without elevator, we we're in the 3 floor and the stairs were so narrow it was kind of difficult to go up with the luggage. Once in the room it was clean, a comfortable bed but without air conditioning, so we had to open the windows for fresh air. It was ok but if you're looking for something close to the center, you should look for another hotel.

Nice, basic hotel. My room was on the third floor - up 67 steep steps. The receptionist carried by bag up, and promised to find me a room on a lower floor. There is only one eating place in the area.

Good central location. Great value. Unfortunately the hotel is situated in the middle of the red light district which isn’t ideal. Quite noisy during the night. Room was very basic, but you get what you pay for. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Prostitutes everywhere

I found the prostitutes hanging around in the street and right in our doorway very disturbing and upsetting. They were smoking outside our window (on the ground floor) and caused us discomfort as we were constantly sneezing and blocked up. I won’t be back for that reason. I was very tempted to call the police. The service was good and the rooms was neat and mostly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Recommended

I only stay in cheap hotels. As cheap hotels go, this was first class. Friendly staff. Modern, good-sized, very clean room. There's no automobile traffic on the street, so all rooms are quiet. There is no breakfast, and the desk is not 24 hours, but they tell you that. As other reviewers have commented, there are ladies hanging around the adjoining streets, but they're hardly dangerous, and with the Yser metro station just around the corner and a short walk to Rue Neuve and the Grand Place, the location, with this one caveat, is excellent.

The street and neighbourhood is crowded with sex workers and their clients. Neither are rude, but if you prefer not being exposed to them, it can be a game changer regarding the choice of this hotel. We had a bad experience with management, where they promised an upgrade for the 2nd and 3rd night, because the original room did not meet the requirements; but on the 2nd night they said that it's impossible. No amenities in the hotel. All their pillows are TERRIBLE.

I didn't expect such a huge room, so that was the best point of my stay. However, the water heater was not perfectly working so it needs to be fixed for the future. In addition, the internet connection (wi-fi) was not as stable as I expected.

No laundry facility. Staff was friendly and room was clean. The room was hot and humid but it had a fan which made it not to bad. The bed with comfortable and room was spacious. The areas was a little sketchy and ladies of the night were standing by but it seem safe. My only biggest complaint was that on there amenities, it showed that they had a laundry facility, which they did not. This amenity was a bit important to us and played a factor in our decision making when booking the hotel. The also had no refirigerator but other that the stay was good.

Slept well

The hotel was good. It did the job. We slept, showered and changed comfortably. The location was good, around a 15 minute walk to the centre. If you're fat and high maintenance, go closer and pay more money :)

The staff are great and very helpful. The hotel is a bit tired decoratively but the rooms are clean and spacious. Loads of towels in bathroom. WiFi is not consistent unfortunately. There's no Aircon but the staff made sure all rooms had electric fans which was a nice touch. The area has a few ladies of the night around but they don't cause problems. I'd stay there again. On a lower floor if possible. The stairs were a bit of a climb. The hotel seems secure.
