Noise

Nice building in nice neighborhood, however, the unit is very basic, the "kitchen" is a bit of a joke, and feels like its outside the way the apartment is configured. The landlord is a nice lady, but the description does not include that there is a school in the backyard that sings and makes a lot of noise during the day. Worse, there are two large construction projects with jackhammers and construction noise going on all day long - None of which is disclosed. I offered the owner 50% to cancel as I simply could not stay there with all the noise. She agreed, and then went dark on me and won't reply to my requests, so I'm doing a chargeback with my credit card. Of course, HomeAway is a joke and totally unhelpful in resolving this dispute - as always, their staff are rarely helpful, but well trained on the buzzwords of customer services of comfort words. My experience with this property was bad, it started well with the landlord, but she agreed in writing to my offer of 50% refund and still has not refunded my payment. I would not trust this listing.

Very well located,the apartment is sunny,clean and comfortable, the janitor was very helpful and the owner very nice .
