Lovely!
I really enjoyed my stay. So much so that I'm going back! And my dogs seemed comfortable there, too. It would be nice if there was some more shade at the cabin, but it is in a Kansas field. LOL Overall, a great stay and the owners were very responsive to any questions I had. Denali is great, too!

Short but sweet
Went for a funeral and needed to be in the country to mourn because that's where we love to be. Wife loved the property and wants one just like it. Host were great and accommodating. The creek and ponds were nice too.

Mother’s Day Weekend
I couldn’t think of a better way to spend Mother’s Day weekend. We stayed in two small cabins, both were very clean and beautifully decorated. Air conditioning worked great too! Cabins well stocked with all cooking needs, grill accessible and fire pit was perfect. It is hard to say what the best part was- kayaking or fishing! Shared a lot of laughs in our kayaks and caught (and released) several fish. The hosts were also fantastic, quick to communicate and help when asked. We will definitely be staying at this property again.

Birthday Weekend Getaway!
We booked this stay for my boyfriend’s birthday. We try to do something remote and serene each year to have a peaceful weekend. The cabin is by itself off to one side of the property. You can build a fire and relax, grill out, cook inside..and enjoy the peace and quiet outside. There is a shower and bathroom in the cabin, and a fold out sofa to sleep on. We went fishing in a few of the ponds on the property, and our dog Whiskey enjoyed their dog Denali’s company. We definitely will be back for a restful weekend! Thank you guys for your hospitality and going above and beyond making our stay extra special!!!

Great time!
My family had a great time at Buffalo Cabin! They have everything there that we needed and were very accommodating. The cabin was perfectly sized and the private fire pit was a huge plus. The property has several lakes to explore and enjoy fishing in…and they were biting! Our four-year-old even caught a couple by herself! We went in the spring and caught the gorgeous sunsets over the fields and stunning moonrises to the southeast. Our daughter loved going to visit the chickens and friendly kitties and there were more than a few tears shed when she had to say goodbye to the dog (this is a five-star review, so I don’t want to take anything from it, but the dog did wake us up a couple times by barking. Not faulting the dog either, as we could also hear yips and howls of presumably coyotes out in the distance, so the barking was understandable). Also, kayaking up the creek on the property was so much fun and a great way to enjoy nature and see a bit of wildlife (turtles, woodpeckers and frogs!) All in all, a great spring weekend!

Beautiful property, serene, awesome hosts
I booked this property for a personal silent retreat. It was perfect. At only two hours outside of Kansas City, it was a great driving distance for a Fri-Mon trip. The host was easy to get ahold of, friendly, and professional. The property is incredible! The 150 acres is like a huge park that is just your own! Will return for sure! Thank you for a great trip!

Peace and Quiet
Great experience all the way around. The hosts are wonderful and easy to work with. They checked in a couple times to make sure everything was ok. The cabin is so cozy and comfy. Right on a pond - sunrises are amazing. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway, this is it! I will definitely be back!

Absolutely Amazing!!!
We had a wonderful stay at Buffalo cabin! We rented the cabin because of the perfect location…right on the edge of the Flint Hills and a great base camp for scenic UTV tours of the surrounding area. The property is beautiful with several stocked ponds for fishing, kayaks and a paddle boat for the stream, a fire pit to relax of an evening and the best ranch mascot - Denali (the sweetest dog). The people we encountered in the community were very friendly and helpful. We were able to pick up any necessities we failed to pack close by. Last, but definitely not least, our hosts were the absolute best - so welcoming and kind. They truly made our stay the best and we ended up leaving with fantastic new friends! Thanks, Carrie and Scott, for making our weekend wonderful!
