Great place to stay had plenty of space for all of us. Hosts where quick to response with any questions. Kitchen had a verity of cooking supplies. Over all a great place would definitely go back. Only issue was the road getting in. The road getting into the property was rough with pot holes and was half dirt. Kind of difficult for the small cars with us. So if you plan on pringing a boat dont drive it down the road because its a dead end with no where to turn around. But other than that the stay was amazing and cant wait to return.

The HOT house

The AC barely works, trash in the yard, back porch and yard nasty and the dishes in the cabinets were caked with food! Overall the worst vacation rental we have ever rented!

Boat dock paradise

The house was easy to find and wonderfully located close to our favorite wineries! We brought our boat and it stayed safely at the dock. We fished and caught plenty of catfish from the dock. The dock does need a good power wash, lots of bugs and spider webs. There aren’t any life jackets for the paddle boards and no paddles for the kayaks. We sure would have liked to use them! The inside of the house was very clean, and plenty of room for a large crowd! The kitchen sink definitely needs a new faucet and there is not a working ice maker. The master bed room was immaculate BUT the bed is much to be desired. It’s an old memory foam mattress that is overly worn to the center. It had been flipped to the underside and a hard seam around the whole thing stuck into you. No mattress cover and thin sheets. For a luxury home, a luxury bed would be expected. This alone will keep me from staying here again.

Overall good place to stay, but had some hiccups.

Overall the property is very nice, but we did have some hiccups. The upstairs gets VERY hot during the summer months due to the house only having 1 hvac unit. Undersized for this size house. The directv did not work the last day we were there. All the fire alarms sirens went off at 6:30am the last morning we were there and then again at 7am.

Great lake getaway

We rented this house to celebrate my son's 14th birthday. The house was beautiful and spacious. The outdoor area was perfect for visiting and enjoying the sunset. We brought 2 jet skis and the kids had lots of fun riding and jumping in the lake from the upper deck of the dock. Definitely recommend this home for a great getaway on the lake!

Love home, but boat ramp only inconvenience. Had to pay to launch boat and they close at 4pm. Same time of check in. So had lauch 15 ride down. Gas guzzling... jets ski. 15 minridw

Great location and house, but not the cleanest.

The house and location were wonderful, but we were dissapoined with the cleanliness of the property. The beautiful picture windows were dirty and full of cobwebs. The porch needed to be swept and furnature brushed off at least. And there was black mold all over the master shower ceiling. The other disappointment was that there was great outside furniture by the lake, but there weren't enough cushions for all the guests to sit comfortably.

Great Place to Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elk Lodge. We had plenty of room. We enjoyed the large patio and used the grill multiple times. We had a blast fishing (catch and release). We enjoyed playing pool and ping pong as well. That was nice to have since it rained a little during our stay. Vacasa was very quick to respond when we had an issue figuring out the TV.

Great lake house

Overall great house and is recommended. The only reason we did not give a 5 star throughout was because the air conditioner was not working properly the first night. The property manager did not respond until the next morning, however when she did respond she was very courteous and got the issue fixed quickly. The place is beautiful and a great family vacation spot. I will warn however that even when the AC was fixed the loft remains warm.

Great home, great location, a little worn down

The house is great, the dock is great and the water is great. The only thing I would change is the state of the house. While it is clean, it is a little worn down. Loose door handle, scuffed walls, worn decking on the dock, loose trash in the yard. The patio chair cushions need love and the dock storage is very snakey. If they were to make these changes to match the premium price of this house it could be the best one on the lake

Great return stay

We have stayed at Elk lodge several times and have always enjoyed it. It is a big place with plenty of rooms for a large family or family reunion type visit. It was clean and well-maintained, so previous reviewer concerns about inside maintenance have been addressed. The wonderful balcony/porch does get dusty so I would ask for more attention to making sure the outside furniture is cleaned off because it will get dust and debris every time the wind blows through. If you have someone with limited mobility in your group, they may have trouble getting down to the water and dock since the path is somewhat steep, although it is coated with nonslip surface but has no rails. Fishing at the dock was good with plenty of sunfish. The road to the property is still bumpy but only for about a block or so. Overall, we had a great trip, and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Easter Weekend

The interior of the house is nicely decorated and well maintained. It is a comfortable home and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the the lake with family. My 6 year old grand son loved fishing off the boat dock every day. He also enjoyed the kayak. The only thing missing was a pair of pot holders for getting things out of the oven. But that is minor and easily fixed.

Another VRBO/Vacasa disappointment

Spent my first hour of vacation speaking to two different vacasa reps because the door to get in did not work while my family including two senior citizens sat in the car. Once in dishes were dirty in drawers and dishwasher did not work. Stove light along with other indoor and outdoor lights out. Patio furniture was dirty. Property itself was nice - those managing have some work to do.

Grand Property- Needs TLC

Pros-beautiful home, very clean, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space and privacy. Cons- The private drive/road is a pot-hole ridden donkey path. There is a large twisted oak tree trunk over part of the driveway, could barely get my compact hatchback under it. The parking is very tight, you will not fit more than 4 vehicles and there is no street parking allowed. The cabinet doors are broken, hinges pulled apart in kitchen and bathrooms. The railing all around the exterior is all chipping, cracked paint. Most of the outdoor furniture is broken or about to break. We would stay again, but it seems a little too expensive for the property maintenance that needs to be done.

Lovely home but needs some TLC

This home is beautiful but really disappointed in the lack of extra sheets blankets and pillows. This is a high end rental and these should be available and nice quality. 1 flat, old yucky pillow per person just doesn’t go with this kind of home. Granny is cold and not 1 extra sheet or blanket. I did call for extra and a lady did bring a few extra equally old crappy pillows and some old smelly blankets. I mean a trip to Home Goods or Target would be an inexpensive and wise investment. This is a corporate owned place so just know that going in. The other problem was the air would not cool the middle upstairs bedroom/ twin bed room very well. For this size house they need 2 units w 2 controls. It would be cold downstairs and hot upstairs. We had fans but still didn’t cool down til 3 am. Also be careful swimming right out the boat dock and pier. Several of us got cuts and one went in town to ER for stitches. There’s rocks, and some kind of barnacles etc. there are no Buoys in the water telling boaters and jet skiers to stay away from the homes and docks and slow down so it can get a little rough. Overall had a great time and the home is beautiful. Really enjoyed the large covered back patio and the awesome sun deck. Just needs some attention. Overall 4 out of 5

Family Reunion

This property was more beautiful in person than on line. Beautiful high end decor throughout, comfortable beds. Kids loved the sleigh beds upstairs along with a TV and all the adults had their own room. Plenty of bathrooms. Perfect location on the river, although far from Horse Shoe Bay, not too crowded and cool flowing river water, perfect for extremely hot Texas summer. Outdoor 2 story boat dock was perfect, nicely furnished for our needs, we brought our boat and left it in the lift. There were kayaks and a paddle board to use which was nice to have. Gorgeous sunset and hill views in the afternoons. Beautiful place!

The house was very comfortable with great spaces for all ages and easy in and out! Close to a store, and the house was fairly close to the dock for older parents as well! Overall great experience! * the only hiccup was that the key for the boat dock was not there, but we got lucky and the dock was open!

Perfect size and location

We have booked the Elks Lodge twice this past year with our golf group. It’s perfect for four adult couples and in a great location to wineries and golf courses. We will be back again!
