Welcome to Agriturismo Il Poggio delle Favole, an authentic retreat in the Marche region, just 3 km from Cagli and minutes from Frontone, near the Frasassi Caves, Urbino (UNESCO), the Furlo Gorge, and the medieval villages of the valley.
Here, lavender is the soul of the place: it blooms each year, coloring the landscape purple. Hand-harvested, it becomes floral water, essential oil, and scented sachets, available in your room and as a souvenir of your stay.
The farmhouse dates back to the 19th century and still has the original family livestock mangers. The farm is lively and generous: Marrans hens, artisanal honey, hand-picked lavender and saffron, olive trees, and seasonal vegetables, all available for purchase directly on the farm.
Autumn is the best time to visit: September is perfect for hiking the CAI trails and mule tracks of Monte Catria in mild weather, picking saffron, and discovering local markets with typical Marche products. Panoramic roads and dirt paths are also ideal for motocross. Nearby, visit the church of Santo Stefano and the Bosso and Burano rivers for a summer swim.
The Olivia Room features a king-size and a single bed, private bathroom, independent entrance, and minibar. The panoramic terrace, scented with lavender at sunset, has a table, armchair, and lion-shaped fountain—the perfect spot to admire Monte Catria. The Rose Cottage includes a gas stove, wood-fired oven, and barbecue. There is a pond with water lilies, parking, and Wi-Fi included.
