My daughter and I stayed at El Farida Hotel, for 5 nights. The hotel is a new hotel, very clean, confortable room, good Wi-FI, The manager and staff always with a smile and helpful. Good breakfast, bottle of water provided every day. Walkable to the old Egyptian museum, to bakeries, and shopping. Thank you to Ahmed, front desk manager, always so helpful, thank you Ahmed, We do recommend El Farida Hotel.

Don't expect to get any sleep

The hotel and it's staff are good but don't expect to get a good night's sleep. There's a restaurant next door which plays loud music until 2:00am in the morning. I had booked for 10 nights and I hardly only managed to get any sleep.

Not a good hotel to get a good night sleep

If you're expecting a good night's sleep, this hotel is not the right place to stay. Through no fault of the hotel, I had 10 nights lack of sleep as there's a restaurant right next door which plays loud music until 2:00am. I would not recommend a stay here and will certainly not be staying myself at the next visit.

Overall the hotel is suitable for low budget stay with decent rooms. Room and bathrooms are fine and towels provided. Working AC in all rooms. Extra amenities can sometimes be provided on request e.g kettle for the room. Cleaning must be requested. Breakfast is a little limited but alright - cheese, sliced ham, yogurt, breads, omelette (cooked to order), falafel. Staff were friendly and did their best to be helpful. Can exchange money, book tours, and arrange taxis. Surrounding area is noisy but to be expected for centre of city.

My son and I have had the most wonderful stay here. The staff are friendly and so very helpful, kind and lovely. Breakfast was an added bonus and our room was large and spacious. Great location for downtown, easy to get taxis anywhere we wanted to go. I would definitely stay here again. Lovely.

Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel in the middle of cairo, close to the museum. There are many good restaurants around, the area is secure. The breakfast was very good and all staff were professional, friendly and caring. I would definitely stay again at this hotel next time I visit Cairo.

I cannot say much about the hotel since they moved me to a different one -- on a noisy street and a bit lower quality\cheaper. The staff was friendly and apologetic, but the substitution was not adequate. I received no advance notice that the reserved room was unavailable and nothing was offered as compensation.

This is a really great place. It's a mid-range hotel which outperforms a lot of higher-end places I've stayed in in many parts of the world. Even though I don't speak Arabic, the staff always made me feel at home. The manager Hassan was not only genteel but arranged for everything we needed logistically. We used drivers from the hotel for tours of Cairo's many cultural offerings as well as to Giza. There is also an amazing breakfast every morning featuring fresh, delicious Egyptian food. The hotel is also located in downtown within walking distance of restaurants, bakeries, cafes, juice places, outdoor shisha and conversation places. Overall just a terrific place to stay. Highly recommended.
