It’s a place where you can truly relax from the heart. We chose it as our base for visiting Saqqara on the last day of our Egypt trip, and it ended up being the best memory of our entire journey. The facilities are new and very clean. The property is surrounded by walls, so we felt completely safe during our stay. Although it’s a bit far from Cairo Airport, we had no problem getting there by Uber. Upon arrival and during breakfast, we were kindly served drinks and fresh, delicious fruits. The night before, we asked the owner if he could drive us around Saqqara and Dahshur, and he gladly accepted (for a reasonable fee, of course). The owner is extremely kind. It never felt like he was doing things for tips—he genuinely wanted to make travelers feel welcome. Some reviews mentioned issues with water supply, power outages, or insects, but we didn’t experience any of those problems. Notes: 1. There are dogs and cats in the garden, so people who aren’t comfortable with animals might want to keep that in mind. 2. In my room, the shower was positioned so that the toilet paper would definitely get wet when used. You should move the toilet paper elsewhere beforehand. 3. We were the only guests during our stay, so we could enjoy the garden all to ourselves. However, if you stay at the same time as a large group, it might be harder to enjoy the garden privately.

Great place to stay close to Saqqarah

Hatim (the owner) is such a lovely soul. I had an amazing time staying at his place. The hotel is a bit remote but close to Saqqarah’s archeological site and Hatim was keen enough to pick me up from there once I had finished my tour. He also ordered me food for dinner and breakfast the next day. The hotel is made of several small individual houses, very safe and clean with a vegetable garden at the back. Hatim means hospitable in Arabic, no wonder I had a great experience there! Please don’t hesitate to book and support him.

We got in really late but that was absolutely no problem. The owner even got out and organized food for us so we could arrive in calm. The houses are really cute and lovely and right in front of the pyramids. Very nicely furnished, wifi works and the shower was great! The breakfast was amazing and we would absolutely go again! :) Thanks a lot!
