Terrible service even before checkin

The check in process was a joke that consisted of 20 minutes of "we have the wrong dates for your booking" despite having email confirmation, "you owe us an additional $65" even though prices were set on Hotels.com (which is not supporting me in any way during this process), "your lucky you even have a room, we almost gave it away since you didn't check in by 10pm" even though they were notified in writing that I was checking in in the middle of the night (after a drive from Winnipeg), the room has damaged furniture, the smoke detector is falling off the ceiling, there is literally nothing about my stay with the exception of there being a physical bed to sleep on that is acceptable with this stay. Pay the extra and stay elsewhere

There was a birthday event in their ballroom on Saturday night. My room was on the second floor and the music was so loud I could feel the bass through the floor and it shook the toilet and surround casing of the shower. I had to turn my volume on the TV way up just to even hear it. The music cut to half about 11:15 which was much more liveable to try to sleep and it cut completely after about 11:30-11:45. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who go to sleep before 11:45. I was not notified about this event prior, nor given a choice of a room considerably above the music. Actually it would be recommended not to lodge anyone on the second floor just above the event music unless they were attending the event. Also I think the music could have been turned down without taking anything away from the party. The worst was I had not been informed nor given the choice for a different room. I called down to the front desk but no one responded and i didn’t feel like getting dressed to go ask them about the music. Finally my room key was needed to make the elevators (and my door) work. I stayed three nights and three times I had to get my room key re-loaded because it wouldn’t work. That in itself was a little annoying but the real problem was there was a line up of 4-5 people every time I needed my key re-loaded. The long wait was not enjoyable just because my key wouldn’t work. They needed more staff at the front desk to attend their guests.

This was the most comfortable stay I've had in Calgary. Not only were the beds and pillows so comfortable but the amenities were great too. The hot tub had hot water, the sauna was so nice. I will definitely be staying again the next time I'm in Calgary.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Extremely dirty (scum around the toilets and sinks, stains in the carpets), wet dirty towels all over the pool area and inside the steam room, the hot tub literally burned my feet it was so hot. The planes flying overhead would shake the building. You would hear it when anyone in the building would flush a toilet. This is a party hotel, bot a confortable stay.

The lady at check in was not the friendly. And when we wike up Sunday morning from the second floor room, there was loud music (sounded like a church service) was so loud it woke me up at 8:00 am. I had a weekend away and could sleep in with no kids so I was not impressed. It was coming from the congress center. Other then that everything was good.

Great price for a few nights sleep. Husband had surgery @ PLC & this hotel was a short drive. Front desk was efficient at thier job. The carpeting in the elevators is in dire need of replacing- takes away from the rest of the updates. Comfy bed, room was clean. Close to all amenities. Lots of parking.
