Hotel exterior in need of some TLC. Young man on Reception was very polite and helpful. Room was fine - everything that you need. Evening meal extremely good value for money. Breakfast buffet excellent. Very convenient for motorway stop-over.

Lovely hotel.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. Most staff speak some English which is good when you are tired after a long journey and seem to have forgotten any french you knew. The beds was lovely and comfortable and the French external blinds cut out noise and light for a peaceful sleep. The room and ensuite bathroom are clean. The breakfast is continental with plenty to choose from and includes cereal, yoghurt and fruit. There were some eggs, bacon and sausages and a toaster. Coffee very good from the machine. There is also tea and hot chocolate available although no drink making facilities in the rooms. The restuarant serves a variety of starters, mains and desserts and there is a discount for two and three courses. There is no lift to rooms on the second and third floors but there are a few ground floor rooms. Staff will help you with your bags if required.

Great hotel with onsite restaurant

Very easy to find - even in a snowstorm! Receptionist very friendly. Well worth eating in the hotel's restaurant. Excellent food at great price. Room warm and comfortable. Bathroom and corridors a little tired. Superb choice of food at breakfast. Will definitely stay again.

useful night stop on way through France

Good parking, easily found, seems efficient. Restaurant wasn't open as it was a Sunday evening but there is a very good family run Portugese restaurant just next door which we took advantage of. The hotel restaurant looked to have a reasonable menu. Cambrai a 2km drive away. pleasant town.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent as always. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The flooring of the bedroom needs attention due to wear.

A good surprise

The main advantage of this hotel is clearly its convenience, as it lies just off the motorway. What distinguishes it from many others is its restaurant, which was worthy of a quite different establishment. Food is clearly cooked to order by a trained chef, rather than merely being microwaved. Prawn cocktail is not a dish I would normally order but the prawns, both large and small, were very tasty. Boar stew was good too. The restaurant is the reason for preferring this hotel to the others around.

Handy on night stop

Just a one night stopover. Evening meal very good & reasonably priced. Very good selection for breakfast. Probably the most pathetic shower I have ever seen. No lift, so hope you are not on the top floor!!

Stopped for one night while visiting war cemeteries. Easy to find, ample parking (with secure area at rear). Reasonably priced restaurant with choice of one two or three courses. Continental breakfast with reasonable choice. Comfortable and clean room. This hotel was used a lot by business users for one night stop overs.

Shabby but clean.

Would not want to stay for more than one night, which is sad because it is a good location, has friendly English speaking staff, an excellent breakfast, and comfortable bed. The room was clean but was in desperate need of redecorating, and on the small side. It was a hot night and the room was very stuffy. Would not want to stay for more than the one night.

Good overnight stop. Comfortable rooms (if a little small). We had booked a superior room. Good food in restaurant although limited menu. Hotel does have advantage of locked car park overnight and easy to find just off the motorway. Service in hotel was below previous standards when we had stayed before. But overall a good stop about an hour and a half from Calais terminals.

Neighbourhood not much to offer

We arrived starving & not wanting to eat in hotel decided to visit Cambrai. Unfortunately the few restaurants there were didnt serve food until half 7 which was a bit late for our children's first night after a long drive. We found an american style auto grill in the end which were accomodating. Room a bir small & no air con which was uncomfortable on such a warm night. Staff friendly, breakfast basic.
