Great place in a lively area
We stayed at this listing in another loft in 2024. It was an excellent stay. We chose this listing for our three week stay in 2025 based on the condition of the listings offered, the prompt and complete communication by the host, and the fact that we like the area. It has many restaurants, both fine and casual dining. It is a decent walk or a short bus ride to the Grand Arcade and the colleges. We would stay here again.
Central location, close to train station and 20 min walk to Cambridge U. Apartment was clean, and convenient and it was great to use the community washer and dryer. There is a noisy pub right down the street, that spilled outside every night we were there. Wouldn't have been a major issue except the window didn't close and we could hear all the noise including a fight one night. I'm not sure what people do in the winter for warmth. The heating did not turn on in main radiator or the bathroom radiator despite following heating directions (which were eventually found in the second drawer down in the bureau with the tv remote) which for our three-night stay meant we had wet towels as there was no towel rack anywhere in the apartment and it wasn't overly warm. Oddly, the smoke detector seemed to have a band-aid holding it together which was a bit disturbing. If you book here, be sure to check junk email as all communications from the property hosts ended up there and were found later.
