I stayed for two nights in a “1 bedroom LUXURY suite”. When I arrived, I found my “luxury” suite’s balcony opened onto the multi story carpark next door - this was my view. Not only was it ugly, it felt (as a solo woman traveller) very unsafe. The toilet didn’t flush properly and the showerhead didn’t flow fully. The towels were thin and scratchy. The mattress was very comfortable, however the bedlinen was too light for a Canberra winter and there were no additional blankets in the cupboard. The TV only offered Free To Air channels, despite claiming to have Netflix and Prime. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, and the appliances were all very convenient. However, the suite was significantly inferior to advertised images, to the point that I doubt the same level of accommodation is used in advertising. I have no idea what element of the suite Meriton consider to be “luxury”. Would I stay at Meriton Canberra again? Absolutely not. Would I stay at a Meriton property again? Unlikely.

The apartments are really new, equipped with all amenities including slippers. The rooms are spacious. Highly recommended. If you want a view, make sure u book a room with a view as not all rooms have a view.

I recently stayed at Meriton Suites Canberra and, while the hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and in a great location, unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and the amenities like the pool and gym were quite nice. However, during my stay, the sauna was out of order, which was a letdown. I also found the cleanliness of the room below expectations — there were noticeable finger marks on the windows and hair left in the sink, which really shouldn't happen at this level of accommodation. One of the biggest drawbacks was the service. I found the staff to be uninformed and unhelpful, and it made the experience feel far less welcoming. Good service can make or break a hotel stay, and sadly, it left a sour taste, to the point that I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Additionally, the parking was quite expensive for Canberra, and for the price paid, I expected a much higher standard across all areas. Overall, while the hotel looks the part, the poor service and lack of attention to detail made it a disappointing stay.

We arrived at 4.30pm to be to be told our room wasn’t ready (check in was 3pm) and would be another 30 mins and they would call us as soon as it was ready. 1 and a half hours later I enquire and apparently it was “only just ready” even though they had time to put our luggage in the room, Also, not enough parking onsite so had to park a block away which is abit inconvenient. Location and rooms are great though.

This was an excellemt hotel, great amenities, room had everything we could need. Staff were wonderful. However, triple sheeting bedding technique made our sleep suboptimal and led to us coming into contact with nude doona... our room was also internally facing so had no natural light, this might be suitable for business travellers but was not ideal for us.
