In addition to the famous Palais des Festivals, just a 4-minute walk away (300 meters), you can pick your favorite activity, such as: Go for a stroll along the no-less famous Croisette seafront boulevard (and maybe spot a few celebrities): 3 minutes away on foot (200 meters). Discover the flavors and specialties of Provence at the Forville market, 10 minutes away on foot. Climb up the cobblestone alleys in the old Suquet district (10 minutes away on foot) and enjoy the breathtaking view over Cannes from the top of the old fort, or just meander around the artists' area. Head to the train station or the bus terminal, 2 minutes away on foot. There you can either reach the international airport in Nice via the express electric shuttle in 30 minutes (line 81), or take a train or bus ride along the coast of the French Riviera, either to the East toward Nice, Monaco and Italy, or to the West, toward St. Tropez.
