Beautiful countryside accommodation
The quiet setting of this old farmhouse provided a calm retreat from the hectic days of sightseeing. Giacomo was a gracious host, meeting us when we arrived, giving us numerous helpful tips about sightseeing and restaurants, things to do and places to see. The spacious bedrooms of the house and views of the countryside are beautiful. There are stairs to negotiate, and having a vehicle is helpful.

Lovely location for classic italian house
Our family had a lovely time staying here for a week, so many beautiful places to visit, aided by an exellent guide book prepared by the host. Giacomo was very helpful and answered all our questions. The house has spacious bedrooms, and a lovely garden and pool set amongst the olive groves. A couple things to note, the house has a hob, microwave and bbq, but not an oven, but lots of places to eat a short drive away. The house also has old style italian sockets, not the usual continental adaptors!

Family stay in June
We had a great week at the end of June. The property was accurately described, basic but with everything you need. We loved the barbecue, terrace area and pool.
Giacomo was incredibly helpful; his guide was really thoughtful and useful.
Property is ideal for families with older children. A car is a must with lots to see in easy driving distance.

Very nice, very simple, convenient
Convenient location for doing a lot in the area, Lucca is lovely, Cinque Terre a long day but doable, southern parts of Tuscany also. Giacomo is wonderful - thoroughly available and responsible and flexible, generous! The house is in the process of updating and has some really good new improvements (induction stove, dishwasher, HVAC splits…) but basic comforts like some new livingroom furniture and area rugs, art on the walls, a few more glasses and mugs… and a second shower (the “wet room” does not work!) would warm up a very clean and nice place into a really great one! Main problem is that the description and photos suggest a farm house out in the middle of olive groves with a luxurious in-ground pool and a fabulous view. In fact, the view is only from the 3rd floor window, the house is a duplex, and although the immediate neighborhood is rural, this is the more commercial, industrial part of Tuscany - the south is what you’re picturing - and the pool (while definitely cool, clean and welcome!) was an above-ground monster! Price was very good, reflecting its less-appointed state and less picture-perfect region. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and were comfortable, once we got over it being not what we’d expected, and we know Giacomo is always investing to improve his property! And it is very large, 6-8 people would fit very comfortably!

Wonderful 3 storey villa in the hills and olive groves
The owner, Giacomo, was the friendliest and most helpful host. He welcomed us at the beginning, left us with a detailed itinerary for the area and beyond. The pool was cleaned by him midweek, and he was there on hand by WhatsApp with answers to our Q's.
The villa is lovely and cool which is very welcome in the heat. It is quite basic but yet has everything you need. Kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave grill combo and a stove, no oven. Two showers with one being a wetroom.
The beds are comfy in each of the 3 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have AC (room with two single beds did not).
One thing we weren't prepared for are the old plug sockets in the villa. Only our older travel adaptors fitted. Not one single new travel adaptor did (we were able to use these on the modern adaptors on the microwave and kettle plugs).
The pool is large and clean. The garden is full of olive trees as well as the area all around the villa. The views from the top bedroom is amazing.
Great location for Lucca, Pisa, La Spezia, and Florence. Highly recommend!

A great base for a family holiday close to the beautiful city of Lucca
The house was comfortable and a nice place to come back to after a day exploring. The olive trees offered shade throughout the day. There is lots to do in the area, and Giacomo is extremely helpful, offering useful advice and suggestions about day trips and places to eat. We also enjoyed the fresh produce that Giacomo brought for us. Thank you!

Owner cares but house isn’t quite ready.
The house is nice and partly renovated. The owner is very attentive to needs of the guest. There is air conditioning only in two of the 4 bedrooms and nowhere else in the house. Only one of the bathrooms was fully functional on the top floor. The second floor bathroom was original and the floor drain was slow to drain resulting in flooded floors and stairway. No washing machine, but owner expressed that he would purchase one soon. Kitchen was very nice. The patio area is new as well. The property is attached to another home. The family keeps to themselves mostly, however there is a newborn baby or toddler that cry’s often. That situation will work itself out with time. We would definitely stay here again once the missing pieces have been addressed. Thank you.

Lovely location and owner
Was a nice house, and owner was very helpful with assistant/ questions - and bringing fruit and veg. Although - could have done with a washing machine and dishwasher! It is a great area - and lots of great places to visit nearby.
