The villa itself is stunning, lovely pool area and grounds and staff really great, friendly and helpful. The apartment we stayed in was okay - we knew it was in the basement of the villa, but it was very dark. We had booked it as it came with a kitchen and perhaps an oversight on our part but there was no oven, the fridge was tiny and a real lack of cooking utensils, it was very basic and meant we did not really cook while staying despite having wanted to. Overall it was okay but if I was to return I would probably look to stay in a different apartment / room within the main villa

Great apartment in a great location

Awesome apartment in a great Mansion house in a brilliant location in the hills in Tuscany. Downside was really poor internet which you don't expect in the 21st century. Pool was a little cold, the indoor pool was closed which we weren't expecting. No air con here so worth noting that. Nicole is great and very helpful. Overall we loved it here.

Appartamento spazioso giardino con vista panoramic

la posizione dell'appartamento è alquanto spettacolare per il panorama che si può godere dal giardino. L'appartamento è spazioso ma molto umido perché seminterrato. La strada per raggiungere la residenza è molto impervia e, spesso, scoraggia dall'affrontarla nelle ore notturne perché stretta e piena di curve.

Allemaal net niet...

Dit was het allemaal net niet. De reis had langer geduurd en toen was er niemand meer bij de receptie. Het appartement (Macine) bleek geen tuin te hebben, er is geen outdoor tennisbaan, WIFI was stuk, TV deed het niet en de vermelde wasmachine was ook kapot. Dit was een verkeerde start op deze locatie. Nicole van de receptie heeft geprobeerd alles zo goed mogelijk te doen maar kon het in haar eentje het ook allemaal niet veranderen. De villa ligt hoog in de bergen wat een mooi uitzicht geeft, wel een mooie omgeving. Lucca op 10 km. is een heel leuk stadje waar je zeker doorheen gefietst moet hebben. Voor ons toch een leuke week maar het appartement was het net niet.
