The only reason I am not giving a 5 star rating is the price. I stay there multiple times a year. The % rates increase after the upgrades are not worth the price. Not all your guests are foreigners.

Friendly reception staff, although they did not carry out a simple request re four other rooms I booked (no proper handover to next shift). Great breakfast and very relieved to find a new and more extensive menu. No second bin in rooms for recyclables. Great shower. Lovely pillows but matrass very hard. VERY expensive compared to previous visits - so bad that I moved to another hotel.

Although they were still in the middle of renovations, the amazing staff more than made up for it. The room was great with an amazingly big and comfortable bath! An easy 8 min walk to the fabulous V&A waterfront in Cape Town. Would definitely stay there again.

Aviwe is fabulous!

Aviwe the bar tender was amazing! So attentive, engaging, alert and happy. He made our stay so much more fun! We had excellent conversations with him and have begged him to move to the UK to teach them customer service! All the staff are fully engaged and friendly.

Excited for the result!

The hotel is currently under refurbishment and once done, will be fabulous! Location is perfect! So close to the V&A waterfront and a nice little walk. Staff are super friendly and helpful! Rooms - very modern and very clean! Bed on the firmer side. Unfortunately it wasn’t until after we had booked on a third party website that we found out about the building works and then upon arrival that some amenities were not available for use. The free parking is safe and secure and so convenient. We would absolutely book here again in the future and are excited to see what it is like once the renovations have been completed!
