I appreciated the apartment’s location and design style. However, the cleanliness was severely lacking, to the point of being unacceptable. Roaches were prevalent throughout the apartment, including in the kitchen and, disturbingly, within the Nespresso machine. These pests were also found in the living room and an upstairs bathroom. Consequently, I would not choose to stay here again, especially since I fell ill upon my return, leaving me to wonder if the infestation was to blame. I refrained from raising the issue with management, understanding that such a significant pest problem would likely not be resolved within the duration of my brief stay. While the property managers were courteous and seemed willing to help, the situation demands urgent, comprehensive pest control measures. My concern is that the building’s age and potential infestations in neighboring apartments might render such efforts ineffective. It’s truly regrettable that a property, which appears charming at first glance, actually poses a health risk. This revelation is particularly disappointing given its prime location in one of Cape Town’s most attractive areas, detracting significantly from what could have been a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
