Hope you All are safe and sound,
Mother nature made her presence felt again this winter. Many folks have been asking if the village is open, due to the storm damage. All restaurants and shops are open, the wharf, will remain under construction for 2024.
Fortunately, our cottage was unharmed by the large ocean swell and the torrential downpours of rain in early January. The beauty of this unique spot in Capitola Village is reservable for traveller's.
This charming setting and cottage has become known as the first home built along the creek. There are numerous traces and remnants of historic Capitola hidden, but still remaining in this old beach town. This unit is one of them and is available to be rented anytime of year. Take advantage of these great seasonal rates!

Recently renovated, this cozy historic 2 bedroom 1 bath riverfront cottage is located in the heart of the Capitola Village. You can enjoy this peaceful habitat setting, relaxing in the most spacious yard, or on the deck overlooking the coastal wildlife along the banks of Soquel Creek. Certainly, walking a two-minute trail stroll to Capitola’s most popular beach, wharf, shopping, bars & restaurants is an option as well. This furnished beach cottage is in an ideal location and provides the perfect retreat for a family or friends.

This sweet craftsman is in the shape of a duplex now that does share 1 wall and the front patio. However, it has not lost it's original and historic charm. To whom will you be sharing the wall with? Well, a very nice tenant who has complete understanding that we rent our side unit during the summer. The tenant keeps to themselves and you may see a glimpse of him/her coming and going. Situated in the Riverview Terrace neighborhood, you will feel like you have a very private setting. We have been renting for numerous years now and have yet to have any issues with this arrangement.

This is a great place for a couple or two. A small family can also, comfortably enjoy this great little village without hassle! Relax on the deck with a drink overlooking the creek. Cuddle up with your honey or with your loved ones while taking in the smells and sounds of this coastal riparian corridor.

Most importantly, we want visitors to know that we are doing our best to maintain a clean and safe environment for all of us to have a relaxing and enjoyable vacation experience. The location is great but the unit needs updating. Bedding should be replaced, there is no tv in the main room, just the bedroom which is problematic, especially with kids, the back screen does not fit the doorway and the shower is so low I as a 5'4" woman barely fit under it.

My husband and I spent our anniversary at the Capitola Nook Along the Creek, and it was absolutely perfect. The setting was peaceful and beautiful — sitting out on the deck by the water was so relaxing and romantic. The space was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.We loved being close to the village and the beach but still tucked away enough to enjoy quiet mornings with coffee by the creek. The house was so cute and cozy with a phenomenal view. Beds were so comfortable with plenty of blankets. You can sit out by river and watch ducks, Egrets, and other assorted birds and also have various visits from very friendly cats .... so fun. You can walk to the delightful downtown and shop and eat. Walk to the wharf..... such a fun time. Definitely going back!!!!!

The perfect little cottage for our mom/daughter’s weekend! The location along the creek was so peaceful. We spent our mornings and evenings out on the lawn, chatting with all the dog walkers and petting the pooches. Close to the village with lots of restaurants and shops. If you go to Shadowbrook across the creek for dinner, you can call them for a free pickup in one of their old-fashioned taxis. This was my second time staying here, and I will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here. My husband and I stayed here with our 2 sons ages 13 and 10. We loved being so close to the beach, we also brought our paddle boards to use on the creek that's in the back yard. The house had everything we needed, was very comfy and clean. We would return.

Charming Cottage in Perfect Location

We loved our stay here. The location is absolutely perfect - a pleasant stroll from downtown Capitola, but away from the noise and on the peaceful and beautiful Soquel River. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay, and we would definitely stay here again.
