The room was so nicely decorated. Felt so welcoming, warm and cozy. The furnished patio was INCREDIBLE. The beachfront right there at your door and balcony was the most calming and peaceful. The room was very spacious as well. Property was lovely as well! Check in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly!!

Beach Terrace is one of my favorite places to stay - anywhere! The setting on the beach is phenomenal. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. I love their Apothia toiletries and the fact that there is a hot water kettle in the room. Tea drinkers are often overlooked, so this is a nice touch. Breakfast is a nice surprise every day as they rotate the unique selections. They have a great variety. The chia pudding is my favorite! Aside from being on the beach, the hotel is also right in the village of Carlsbad, just blocks from great shopping and restaurants. It’s an easy walk into town or down the coast, but it’s also a quiet location away from traffic and crowds. The pool area is nice and relaxing and has fire pits and blankets for sitting out at night. If I had only one suggestion, it would be to please bring back the traditional white bath robes. They switched to these beach ponchos in the rooms that are very impractical. It’s not the same experience. Other than that, it’s absolutely perfect. It’s always sad to leave!

Wonderful Stay at Beach Terrace Hotel, Carlsbad We had a perfect stay at the Beach Terrace Hotel in Carlsbad. The staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming, especially the front desk team, who truly have an eye for detail and provide outstanding service. Every interaction made us feel valued and well cared for. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which added greatly to our experience. Staff was extremely helpful in solving our double booking reservations. Michele was the best. Will definitely come again. Brought our cousins over who will definitely stay at beach terrace for their next getaway. Same w my daughter and son-in-law for their next getaway. Breakfast was amazing and the view from our bedroom and balconey fantastic. The sound of the waves crashing lulled us to sleep each night! A ten out of ten!!

We loved our stay at Beach Terrace! My husband and I stayed there with our two children in January 2026. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach valet was such an awesome perk! Our kids loved playing with the beach toys and it was so nice to have somewhere comfortable to sit with the chairs and umbrella. It did seem like there weren’t many other children at the hotel the same time as us, hopefully we didn’t kill the vibe for the other guests. The hotel and its views are beautiful. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was a nice surprise - a variety of tasty things to try including fresh fruit and bakery items. Although we had an issue with our shower, it was fixed in good time. Our room was spectacular - spacious and we loved the view of the pool. customer service was excellent.
