Good place, some improvements possible

We came to see the caverns, and realized it was literally at the entrance of the park. Upon check-in, the desk clerk was helpful and gave us some tips. The room was surprisingly nice. The beds were comfortable. The towels were a bit thin, and our room was not serviced, but that may have been a misunderstanding. I'd stay there again

We loved being close to the Carlsbad Caverns. Toured the Caverns and went to hotel. Drove back for the bat flight, about 20 minutes away. Friendly staff. They have a pool, but we didn't end up using it. Looks like kids loved the pool area. Breakfast was simple, but worked for us. Small grocery across the road.

The rooms are big and spacious!! Them being next to the caverns is amazing!! The drive into town is long but it’s a straight shot back and forth. I wish the AC in the rooms were a little more powerful but the pool makes up for it. While it is dated it was soooo cool! and my kids loved the water slide. Sad though only the one was in use. The breakfast left a lot to be desired……really my only negative. Overall had a decent experience!

Cute

Cute older hotel. The pool was amazing, the water slide was a bonus! There is nothing around so we had to eat bad frozen foods from the gas station but that was an adventure all in its own. Super close to the caverns.

Met our needs perfectly. If your main goal is to experience Carlsbad Cavern NP, this is the spot! This is the only accommodations near Carlsbad Cavern NP. The Inn is clean and simple. Waterslides were fun for our kids. The Inn communicates clearly no food options after 3pm in White's City and Carlsbad is about a 20 minute drive (where there are many food options). Our goal was to hike the caverns in the afternoon, rest/eat and then drive back (7 minute drive) to the cavern amphitheater to view the bats exiting the cave. Across from the Inn is a gas station, gift shop, and grocery, and post office. Shops are open until 7pm and gas seems 24/7 but am not certain. There is a cafe that offers food but closes at 3pm (we did not eat here as the timing did not work for us). We drove from Texas and got Italian take out in Pecos, TX it was the perfect dinner after spending a few hours walking the Caverns.

Loved the waterpark! That was awesome. Overall the place was very clean and great, quiet location. If you really needed something Carlsbad was about a 20 minute drive. Perfect place to stay if you have kids!

Nice place to cool off

The pool area is a little rundown and could use some safer walkways (the downhill slope between the two areas was always wet and very slippery...even a mat placed there could probably fix it). Wish the other slide was open and that the patio chairs got cleaned better.

The room was spacious and clean. I liked the sink outside the bathroom. The pool and waterslide and features were fun and one of the reasons I stayed there. The breakfast was cereal, juice, apples and oranges, and mini muffins. Another advantage is it is 7 miles from Carlsbad Caverns. The restaurant was great, but is closed on Sunday and Monday so be aware if that is when you are traveling.
