Great location near State Parks, beautiful coast line views from room balcony and restaurant, and heated pool. The only disappointment was that there is only one guest ice machine for the entire resort and it was broken; had to go to the restaurant to request ice for the room.

The view is not enough. Besides, once it gets dark you can't see the coast. The stairs. Lots of stairs. Lots of very steep stairs. It's like hiking to Vernal Falls in Yosemite DO NOT take a room in in Building Q, R or S unless you are very fit and are not carrying luggage. No help with the bags getting to the room. Yes. We asked for it. FLYS. In the Dining room. FLYS In the bar at happy hour. Really annoying. Self parking is a nightmare. There isn't enough And if you are lucky enough to find a place to park, its a inclined hiked up and down The drop off area to unload your bags for Buildings Q, R, and S, is small The "two way road" (Highland Drive) is narrow from HWY 1 to the main building. It is worse from the main building up to the building where your room may be. The room was spartan in the extreme. The front door was hard to open from the inside. The bathroom door was worse. When we closed it, it it loudly jammed shut. It was a bear to yank it open. It made more noise opening than it did when it closed. Seriously, who doesn't notice that and fix it? I'm sure the guests next door were annoyed by the sounds that door made. We WILL NOT be back.

We eat at the restaurant right before closing. They got us in swiftly. The food was just okay but expensive for what you got. I guess u pay for the location. The room was nice and clean.

The area is very nice, ocean view and pine trees. The building lacks good sound proofing - you can hear people on both sides walking, like they are walking upstairs. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and there no restaurants close-by. Parking is a bit far from rooms, so it's a walk up and down hills.
