A cottage house between the sea and the countryside, a refuge for all seasons.
The beach of Carolles is 10-15 minutes away on foot, 2 minutes by car. This stone house, nestled in the valley of painters, combines old charm and modern comfort. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, enclosed garden with trees, wood stove: everything is designed to accommodate 5 to 7 people in a neat atmosphere. Between sea and forest, it is a unique place to meet, enjoy the seasons and enjoy the tranquility of an inspiring natural setting.
The accommodation:
This authentic stone house offers a rare balance between absolute calm and proximity to the coast. Surrounded by greenery, in the confidential and peaceful district of La Mazurie, it is a special place, where you can take the time to live.
A careful decoration, inspired by the spirit of the place, mixing old materials, artistic touches and modern comfort gives it its singular character. On two floors, the house accommodates up to 7 people, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and beautiful living spaces where you instantly feel at home. The wood stove, the exposed stones and the tastefully chosen objects create a warm and timeless atmosphere.
Outside, the enclosed and wooded garden is a haven of peace to enjoy the mild summer days, while winter invites you to meet by the fire, in the deep calm of the forest.
Normandy is beautiful all year round, and each season has its reasons to come.
In summer, when the cities are sweltering under the heatwave, the house naturally remains cool thanks to the thickness of its stone walls, the shade of the wooded garden and the sea breeze. A two-minute drive away, the sandy beach of Carolles is one of the most beautiful and least frequented on the Normandy coast — far from the hustle and bustle of the seaside resorts, you will find the space, calm and unspoilt nature that make the real richness of this corner of Normandy.
In autumn and winter, another magic happens: the windswept cliffs, the deserted beach just for you, the low lights on the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. Inside, the wood stove crackles, the exposed stones warm the atmosphere, and you can enjoy the rare luxury of absolute calm out of season. Normandy is worth it in all seasons — and those who come in November or March often come back the most conquered.
In spring, the valley of painters regains its colours, the GR awakens, and the beach of Carolles offers itself to you in all its tranquillity, before the summer crowds.
The house is ideally located for hiking enthusiasts: the GR223, a customs path along the coast, is 500 m away. The cliffs of Champeaux (2 km), the Vauban hut (1.5 km) and the valley of painters (1 min) offer nature routes of rare beauty, in all seasons.
Mont-Saint-Michel is nearby — it takes 45 minutes by car to reach one of the most spectacular sites in Europe. From Genêts (10 km), you can even reach it on foot through the bay, accompanied by a guide. A must-see, which the autumn light or the summer sun also make striking.
