The staff was amazing! Our room was supposed to be a suite and was rather small. We also had an ant problem in our bathroom. They only gave us two towels during our stay and we had to keep asking for new towels (it is so hot in Cartagena… multiple showers a day are a must!) there is no full length mirrors or hangers in the rooms and the lighting in the bathrooms are very dark. the hotel itself is very nice in a not-so-nice area and the morning breakfast was delicious.

It was a pleasure to return to Mood Matuna for the 2nd time within a year. I was glad that construction finished and I was able to get a really big room. The check in process was a bit tedious to say the least as I couldn’t just check in at the front desk and the fact that i couldn’t have visitors without checking them in surprised me and will be taken into consideration on future visits to Cartagena. Once again, the shower leaked out of the bathroom and across the floor and I’m sure that it’s a design flaw that management knows about. The staff was wonderful -especially Cris- and I was glad to see that the fitness center is operational now.

I liked this hidden gem! It was quiet, clean, the rooms were very spacious! They cleaned the rooms daily and were avail 24/7 if needed. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotl was clean and the staff was so nice. Especially Natalia she was so sweet and accommodating, she also makes the best Palomas. The hotel was conveniently located between many tourists attractions. Which made it easy to walk the city. There were 3 things that I didn't not like about the hotel. One there is not a full length mirror in the rooms. Two the lighting in the room is very dim, which makes it difficult to see when applying makeup, doing hair, etc. Lastly, they did not have any wash cloths/face towel Only large towels and hand towels. I suggest bring your own wash cloth/face towel. Everything else was wonderful.

Cartagena Gem

This place is a true gem. The staff is amazing. The location is perfect as it’s near the action but off set enough to be quiet at night. I had the chance to share the workout room with the owner and his family one afternoon…such a sweet, welcoming person! You will not regret staying here, such a find!

I absolutely love this property, the front desk ladies made my stay amazing. The room was clean ac worked great the hot water work perfectly. The area is close to everything! I walked everywhere, it’s very walkable no more than 10mins. I had split my stay three days in mood and three days in bocagrande. The day I checked out, I arrived in my hotel in Boca grande was highly disappointed in the hotel, especially with it advertising as luxury. iMessage one of the ladies on WhatsApp and ask him if I can get my room back in mood and she quickly booked a reservation for me. Now that’s customer service. I came right back to my room and cancelled the other hotel. I absolutely love the hotel and front desk ladies made me feel so safe and welcomed. Do yourself a favor and book the superior room, it’s worth it. You won’t regret picking this hotel!
