We booked a stay here last week. First off, the hotel is the only thing on the tiny island and there is nowhere else to go. Next, it is a BIRD SANCTUARY. This isn’t made clear. There are tons of birds packed in the trees. The smell of the bird poop and dead fish in the heat is overwhelming. So much so, we had to leave and stay on the mainland. There is also no hot water there. The staff were nice, but the higher up’s communicating to me through What’s App were very unhelpful, rude, and not accommodating at all. We got no refund, or anything at all. We were told all of the things listed above were clearly stated on their site, and therefore it was my fault. It clearly was not on the website, or I never would’ve booked that. I would recommend on a trip to Cartagena, staying there and only visiting the islands for a day trip, because you will be stranded. Hopefully this will help a future tourist!

We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it. We were mostly impressed with the staff, especially Daniel, during our stay. He was incredibly attentative. I think it is worth staying overnight here rather than a day trip, as when the day trippers leave it is very tranquil. If you do not like birds, we would not recommend, but I found the frigate birds incredible to see up close! We took a short trip to the main island and Daniel gave us a tour of the local villages - this was also a great experience. A great place to really switch off and relax.

Everything about Pao Pao is amazing. From the remote location to the warm welcome of the staff, via fresh food and drinks. We had an unforgettable stay there thanks to Erick, one of the nicest waiters we have ever come across. He was attentive to our needs, discreet but present. It was, as we said, just one of those places that leave your soul filled with pure joy and amazement. Thank you Pao Pao.

Me encantó el Hotel Pao Pao. La habitación estaba muy limpia, los espacios comunes son súper agradables y el personal fue increíblemente amable. La comida es deliciosa y el costo justo por la calidad. Las playas son hermosas, aunque recomiendo llevar calzado para el agua, ya que hay algunas piedras que pueden lastimar. Recomiendo no solo ir de pasadía: cuando se va la gente, la isla queda tranquila y se disfruta aún más, especialmente los atardeceres. Además, la sesión de yoga al atardecer en la playa fue mágica. Sin duda, regresaría mil veces.
