Enjoy views of Cashiers Lake from The Dogwood Cabin, a cozy, character-filled 1BR/1BA stay within easy walking distance of Cashiers shops and restaurants. This thoughtfully renovated former U.S. Forest Service cabin features hand-selected antiques and vintage details chosen by Carol, who helps care for the cabins. It is a comfortable place to recharge after waterfall hikes, scenic drives, and days exploring town.



The Space:

The Dogwood Cabin is a comfortable one-bedroom, one-bath cabin with views of Cashiers Lake, a kitchen, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and free on-site parking.



Originally used as a U.S. Forest Service cabin in Waynesville, The Dogwood Cabin was relocated to Cashiers Lake and renovated in 2021. Its updated interior is paired with antique furnishings and personal details that give the space warmth and character.



The Dogwood Cabin is an easygoing home base for couples or solo travelers who want to explore Cashiers and the surrounding mountains before returning to a simple, comfortable space beside the lake.



Guest Access:

You’ll have The Dogwood Cabin to yourself, along with free on-site parking. Shared outdoor amenities include a lakeside gazebo with bench seating, a communal fire pit, charcoal grill, and outdoor sink and fish-cleaning station.



The gazebo is a pleasant place to enjoy morning coffee, relax with a book, or take in the view across Cashiers Lake.

The Dogwood Cabin is part of Cashiers Lake Cabins, a small lake-view cabin community near the heart of Cashiers. Shops, restaurants, coffee, and other local favorites are within easy walking distance. Waterfalls, hiking trails, scenic drives, Highlands, and other mountain destinations are best reached by car.



Getting Around:

Free parking is available on-site. You can walk to several parts of central Cashiers, but a car is recommended for exploring the surrounding mountains and nearby destinations.

The Dogwood Cabin offers views of Cashiers Lake but is one of several cabins on a compact shared property. You’ll have your own private cabin, but neighboring cabins and shared outdoor spaces are nearby. Dogwood Cabin

It was unfortunate that the lake was drained & another unit was being worked on nearby (no fault of the host), but Renee was incredibly responsive, attentive, and understanding to any need or concern. It was a lovely, cozy cabin and very easy walk to all of the shops in town & nearby park. Would definitely stay again!

Was as advertised but the bed was a sink hole. We were good with the rustic vibe but felt like we were sleeping on a horse hair mattress sack. Good mattress makes all the difference when staying away from home.

Delightful, clean, charming, sweet and spacious for a little cabin. It has everything you need and more, even has a deck with furniture. Absolutely give it 5 stars. I would suggest having a rope to help keep the armoire right door open that ties to the curtain tie back. The TV is large and awesome. Thank you so much!
