There was mouldnin multiple spots on the calking of the bathroom, something (pop?) had been sprayed over the 2 lamp shades, and a necklace from a previous guest left in the room. There was 1/2 a roll of TP on the holder and no extra roll in the room. Didn't realize this until 945 pm. Called the front desk and they asked us to come get it as they were busy. Will not be staying here again.

I’m quite sure I’ve never written a negative review but we were disappointed in this place. We noticed upon check in that the waterslide wasn’t working. Not an issue for us but a disappointment for families with kids (we heard). We had reserved a king size bed and upon check in were told that that room was unavailable but that we could have an “upgrade” of two Queen beds instead. As a married couple two Queen beds is not what we were after. Not really a big deal (but please don’t chalk it up as an upgrade). When we opened the door the room smelled stuffy… almost musty. Yuck. Immediately we ran the fan to get the air circulating. Little did we realize the windows facing the pool (rm 301) don’t open at all (which makes sense likely considering the pool moisture and smell). Looking down at the main pool it looked like it likely hadn’t been scrubbed for a very long time. But what we wanted was to go sit in the hot tub after a long day on the road. We grabbed the only two large threadbare towels from the bathroom and headed down to find that the jets weren’t working on the hot tub either. As it turned out we started sleeping in one of the Queen beds but it was directly under the fan and far too noisy and disturbing. The breakfast options were limited; two types of cereal, no yogurt, cold hard boiled eggs, bread, bagels and make your own waffle machine ( which was quite busy). On the bright side? The orange juice was very good and the staff were pleasant.

The waterslide was not open and the pool does not have any towels. You have to bring the towels from your room to the pool and when asking for more they are very hesitant to give them to you. Continental breakfast was waffles, cereal, yogurt, toast, and hard boiled eggs. Plan on eating somewhere else honestly.

The water slides broken. That’s the only down side. Other than that the vibes and the atmosphere is impressive and feels very unique. Staff are nice, accommodating and anticipate needs well. Overall a clean, seamless, and comfortable experience. 9/10 would recommend. FIX THE SLIDE lol

The homeless guy below our window was unfortunate. Not in hotel property so not their issue. Construction site behind us. Lack of protein for breakfast and no gluten free was disappointing. Very disappointed with our stay. Have stayed here many times but it has deteriorated even since last year. Our room was less than clean, in fact an item of the last guests clothing was found under a chair as well as some drinks in the fridge so I’m sure only the minimum cleaning was done. Slide was down and we didn’t realize the pool is not a swimming pool . More of a splash pool . 1 meter or less so that was a bit disappointing. The staff at the property were nice, but overall the property was fairly run down and old. The continental breakfast was just OK. The good thing about this location is that there is a Safeway and many other handy stores close by
