We booked a "Triple room" through Expedia. The description stated (and still does) that "The front desk is open daily from 2:00 PM - midnight." Well, there was no front desk at all. It is a hole in the wall. After calling their phone number and dealing with two people who showed up in person but did not speak English and one more who spoke a kind-of understandable English on the phone, we got their "Basic room" because the "Triple room" already paid for was not available. It was too late to look for something better, so we agreed to it. Well, "Basic" is very basic, but it was OK to sleep in before an early flight out of Catania airport. Took an Uber to the airport because the advertised "12 min walk" was about 16 min, mostly through dirty dark streets with mostly no sidewalks (checked by walking from the airport area the evening before).

I did not like it at all. Area wasn’t good. Room was cleaned but I did not have hot water for shower. One of the beds was ok, the other terrible. I do not recommend

Overraskende godt sted. Slet ikke så larmende område som frygtet. Bedre end forventet. Desværre ikke fortov hele vejen til lufthavnen, så det kan være lidt spændende at gå dertil pga. trafikken, men dejligt tæt på og bestemt i gåafstand. Der ligger i café lige overfor, dom ser ud til at have glimrende kaffe og bagværk, men nåede desværre ikke at afprøve det pga. meget tidlig udtjekning

Für eine Nacht vor frühem Abflug aus Catania geeignet und dafür reicht es aus. Der Aufgang zum sehr kleinen Zimmer in die 2. Etage ist sehr eng, eine kleine Herausforderung mit den Koffern. Das Bad war neu renoviert und sauber, die Betten sehr einfach mit eher weichen Matratzen. Die Umgebung ist wirklich nicht besonders schön und vermittelt auch keinen besonders sicheren Eindruck. Kommunikation und Service durch die Gasgeberin sehr freundlich, schnell und zuverlässig. Praktisch: Man kann im Vorfeld für 10 € (Vorkasse) einen Transfer zum Terminal buchen, was wir auch in Anspruch genommen haben. So wurden wir von Giuseppe die paar 100 Meter sicher vor dem Flughafen abgesetzt. Alles in allem in Sachen Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung und bei frühen Abflugzeiten durch die unmittelbare Nähe zu den Terminals und v.a. zur Mietwagenrückgabe super praktisch.
