Don’t stay here. Worst hotel experience ever. The staff are rude, the manager is belligerent and abrasive. My friend’s flight was late due to electrical storm and he didn’t make the first night. Fine I was happy to lose the money for that first night as I had booked in advance, only fair. I even explained to the staff on the check in day but they don’t care. Then they charged an additional 50€ in the way of a ransom…if I didn’t pay we would forfeit the next two nights also. This is just bad business, a cheap unprofessional practice and a kind of money grabbing thievery. False advertising said WiFi in the rooms. There was no WiFi in the rooms. The breakfast buffet is the worst…and they want to charge you for the drinks. The room is super basic as you would expect for the price but not comfortable. Don’t use the shuttle service way too expensive, Just take the ALIBUS to and from the airport. The location is good though - but everything else?? Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for a different place. Not Recommended.

Let’s get it straight: It is not a hotel!!! It is a pensione/B&B so if You want to stay at a hotel this is not for You. I never stay at B&B so I can’t say if it is better than another.

There is a written warning in the rooms: You always have to keep the windows closed at night because of the mosquitos. I would not believe that and woke up with several stitches - even in November. The breakfast (7.30 to 9.30) consists of good, fresh and handmade coffee and a range of processed cakes. There were pears and bananas, cornflakes - and yoghurt only if I was early enough (until ca. 8.15). When I asked for yoghurt, one of the employees said, that the other guests took it away and that there is no more. My room was nice but the door was not easy to open with the key. I had to learn how to find the "sweet spot" of the lock. The area around the hotel is very central and has interesting little restaurants in the neighborhood.

Not on ground floor. Carrying luggage up a flight 1-1/2 of stairs , loose tiles. Had to argue to get air conditioner in room. All lights are turned off daily. You had to manually turn on hallway lights at the hotel(not room). No staff available after 9:30. Rooms we clean and tidy.

Not at all recommended

I asked for late check-in and they charged me 60€ just because they sent me an email with instructions. No employ was waiting for me to justify this amount. They also offered to charge me 50€ if I would pay in cash (is this tax evasion or what?) The place is the usual old building lightly renovated to pretend that it's a hotel and charge this ridiculous price, for the level of the accommodation. Terrible mattress, small uncomfortable bathroom, too noisy toilet flush refill. The breakfast was awful. Not at all recommended. There are a lot more nice places in Catania.

Hotel to be a avoided

1. Before arriving we asked what options they have for parking. They answered that they had private parking for 15 € per day and asked me to let them know if we wanted to book a parking spot. We decided to check if there were options for parking in the street instead. When we arrived at the hotel they informed us that they had booked the parking spot for us even if we never asked them to do so. This is not in itself so bad, however the attitude of the receptionist once we told him that we did not want the spot was not pleasant. 2. They meddle in things that are absolutely none of their business. They were commenting on when we left the hotel room during the day and when we came back at night. It is an hotel, it is none of their business to comment on our comings and goings. We even told them that no cleaning was necessary(as we stayed only 3 days), so there should be no issue if we stay in the hotel room during cleaning hours. 3. While we were out of the hotel, the receptionist came in to our room and took two of my shopping bags with the content still inside them. When I confronted him about it, he told me that he threw them away. When I asked why he would do such a thing, he said that they were close to the garbage bin. They were no way near the bin, which was on the other side of the closet. You would think that they would at least check the contents of the bags before throwing them away, but no.The receptionist seemed completly indifferent to what he had done.

Purtroppo confermo alcune osservazioni già lette in altre recensioni.

NO COMMENT
