Slightly disappointed.

Let me start off by saying I have frequented the motel every year for the past 10 years. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed. This is the first year there was no one there to greet us. No nice and friendly staff. The place was recently painted, which would’ve been nice, but now it’s dark and drab looking . Some of the homely decor is missing from the rooms. There was no staff to check us in. We were greeted by a sign on the door that asked us to text to check in. We found our room key in an unsecured box, that anyone had access to. The room was very clean, however if you needed anything there was no one to ask. I will consider staying again hopefully someone will be there next time.

The check-in process was sketchy, it was just a number to “text” or to “try and find housekeeping”. After check in, I found the deadbolt would not lock the door and the main room window was completely unsecured. By unsecured I mean there was NO lock, and no other items to secure it. It was a window that could be opened by anyone at any moment. The one person on site had no solutions other than to try to get ahold of the owner the next day. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase window locks.

Contactless check in (keys were left in a box with the guests name). The motel is small and cute (6 rooms) and steps from the beach. It's also walking distance to restaurants, bars and cafes.The room was comfortable and clean. It would have been 5/5 if there had been hot water for the shower

First time at this property. Great location, 50 yards to beach access. Rooms are comfortable with coastal decore. Each room has their own front porch seating. There is a side patio for overflow seating and big grass area for kids and pets. Was happy to see a Keurig in the room. No microwave though which comes in handy when you have a family or just want to heat up your coffee. The shower was great with new fixtures, instant hot water, great pressure. The bed and pillows were super comfy. Had a great nights sleep with the windows open to hear the ocean waves. We will be staying here again.

Couldn't rate staff because we never encounter any! Not complaining! Key was left for us and we enjoyed our short stay. Beach was steps away. Quaint, cute place. Will stay again!
