Poor management lets down this pretty logis

This Logis is in a pretty environment. It could be so good but it’s management that lets it down! We arrived after the check in time then had to phone to get an access code. The reception wasn’t manned till much later. When we booked this hotel it was because of the reviews of tge restaurant. On arrival we found the restaurant wasn’t on site and it was closed for the summer! Breakfast was available and we checked the start time of 7am as we had to leave early. The breakfast was on time and ok for a continental breakfast. Then we tried to pay to checkout but the young lady said only her boss could take payment and she couldn’t even tell us the cost! She said her boss would be there at 10am! After we said we’d have to leave she went to get her boss who was clearly unhappy about being disturbed and took payment without speaking.

Charming french neighborhood.

This is a cute little hotel in a good location. Easy to find and easy access to nearby grocery store and restaurant. Nice to have two pillows for each bed. It is quiet and roomier than most other hotel rooms at this price. I would stay here again. Charming french neighborhood.

Simple stopover

The hotel was east to locate and the reception member was pleasant and communicative. We were disappointed that there were no hot drink making facilities in the room. There was complimentary soap\shampoo and towels

Ideal place for an overnight stopover

The room was adequate for a 1-night stay. A lovely 15 mn walk takes you to a number of restaurants and the town of Cresson was much more ttractive than anticipated.The owners were very helpful, particularly Madame, who chatted about places we might visit during our forthcoming holiday and wrote down information for us.

Great for on/off-boarding at St Malo ferry port

Great hotel with an excellent location for getting on/off at the St Malo ferry port. Staff are attentive. Rooms clean and well maintained. Free wifi that's pretty darn fast.

Welcoming

Although a little way out from the centre of Rennes the hotel was relatively easy to find and has the benefit of free parking. There are 17 eating places in close proximity to the hotel but a drive into Rennes is also a practical option. The very best recommendation for the Lodge de Valette is the warm welcome and friendly and helpful service provided by the proprietors.

Bonjour Les draps du lit de la chambre single numéro 5 sentaient mauvais Je l’ai signalé à mon départ le lendemain matin car je ne m’en suis rendu compte que le samedi soir en me couchant Je l’ai signalé au monsieur à qui j’ai rendu les clés le dimanche matin vers 10:30 car il m’a demandé si tout s’était bien passé Le monsieur ne s’est pas montre aimable du tout Il a mis en doute ce que je lui ai dit ! Mauvaise expérience

Arrives a 17h, resa precise entre 16 et 18h sinon prevenir l hôtel), nous avons trouver un hôtel vide, personne à la reception... une sonnette "en cas d absence" sur le comptoir mais toujours personne. 2 couples attendent également sans comprendre... personne au telephone non plus... Enfin un receptionniste arrive.. ni bonjour, ni pardon pour l attente, j en fais la remarque : je me fais envoyer balader d une sorte de "c est bon je suis là " la clef + la facture c est expedie (nb pdj trop cher ce sera sans). Pas de restaurant, pas d aide pour en trouver (juste un ecriteau : 10% partenariat) nous nous debrouillerons a trouver la chambre 15 non indiquee sur les signaletiques qui s arretent à 14... tentons l etage, ah oui c est par là... La chambre est propre et spacieuse (pas les joints baignoire douche) une mauvaise odeur tenace, il faut ouvrir la fenetre (double fenetre, double vitrage parfait) La tv n a pas canal +, ni autres chaines du genre : dommage, l acces wifi fonctionne Là non plus pas d indication pour des activites autour de l hotel Il fait rapidement chaud a 4 dans la chambre mais pas de clim, impossible d ouvrir la fenetre causes nuisances sonores, musique forte toute la nuit dehors (boite de nuit voisine ?) Nous l entendons encore sur le parking en quittant l hotel a 8h. Nous etions venus pour nous rendre a une compétition sportive régulierement organisée à Thorigné, la prochaine fois nous logerons ailleurs
