First off, the good: The location was lovely, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well.The "that's just how it is": You will have to get your luggage from the nearest street that allows cars to the property, but it isn't that far and that's just the nature of the location. If you're renting a car, the nearest parking garage is a bit of a schlep, but not awful - there's a closer public lot, but it's always full.Now, for the bad:The Internet was barely usable (it measured about 10 Mbit/s down and 512 Kbit/s up, but packet loss made it even slower and unreliable). I don't know if anything better than ADSL2 is available in the old town - this may just be what you get in that area.But the worst came after checkout - the owner accused us of breaking a chair on the roof deck and asked for payment without going through VRBO. We did not break any furniture, and asking to bypass VRBO was just sleazy.

This apartment was fantastic! A great location near so many restaurants, shopping, and the beautiful scenery of Old Town Chania. The check-in process was very easy, and the apartment was great for our family of 6. Highly recommend, and would not hesitate to stay here again!
