The hotel is located in a great area of Charleston right next to Market Street & the pathway of markets. Restaurants, coffee shops and a variety of shops and stores. My second time to Charleston and first time at Emeline. I plan on revisiting both. Such a beautiful hotel & extremely friendly staff. Food was great at restaurant too.

Hotel Emeline was okay. Definetly not worth the price. Staff was not that nice or helpful. Check in staff didn’t tell us anything about the hotel (where coffee is etc) and no doorman. Check out staff gave us the wrong receipt for the wrong person.The amenities fees and added fees are ridiculous because there are no amenities. Hallways were very dark and very dirty carpet and sink in the bathroom in our room was dripping. Coffee wasn’t good and should be made fresh in the morning instead of the pods. Our room itself was an adequate size and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Overall, hotel emeline has some nerve charging the prices they do for what you get. I would not stay here again. It was a disappointing experience and had much higher expectations.

Really great hotel for a competitive price. Recieved an upgrade on the room and free valet parking is hard to beat. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, had a good restaurant and coffe shop within hotel. The gym was larger and better than most that I've been in. This is so far my favorite Charlston hote.

Too many issues for the amount we paid.

We have stayed at the Emeline a couple of time and this one wasn't great. We had three of us in the in room and we were given three towels, we had to go and get new towels each day. My daughter slept on the pullout couch and had no blanket which we had to go and ask for. We were woken each day by the other rooms, had no hot water in our shower and couldn't get the upstairs A/C to cool. We woke each day to a 74 degree room and bad sleep. The hotel has become too family friends for young kids as we could hear them all through our walls, running around outside etc. This was in no way a relaxing vacation for us. We will not return

There are better hotels for the price

I won’t stay at this hotel again. For the price point, I expect a lot better. The room was very small and the mattress was awful. Our toilet kept running and maintenance “fixed” it but as soon as it was flushed again it would make the running water sound for hours. We didn’t bother having it “fixed” again as we use a noise machine at night so it was drowned out. The only good thing was the location and the valet service.

Fantastic location. Great bar/restaurant area. My only complaint was the layout of the bathrooms and the bathrooms don’t have exhaust fans
