Our stay was enjoyable but we did not get the room that we paid for. Their “harborview” was a view of the next properties pool. I did complain and they did move us to a “partial ocean view” room, both had balconies. The view was why we chose this hotel so this was a disappointment. The room “keys” were a joke. We went through several sets before they worked, which was a conern because you needed them to enter the property. It was pricey for what we received. It was convenient to Charleston and the beaches.

Not worth the high price

The location was fabulous and very convenient. The condition of the room wasn't worth the high price. The walls were dirty and ragged around the edges. The carpet didn't appear vacuumed and was dirty. The bathroom floor was gritty as well. The walls aren't very thick and heard the crying and screaming kids next door.

The pool facilities, the beach, the umbrellas for the bad weather. The coffee station is very nice. The old air conditioning system makes a lot of noise at night. The bathrooms really need to be painted. The beds were very comfortable and the patios have very nice chairs. It’s nice. They have self parking for free.

The hotel is tired and in need of a refurbishment. It is overpriced for what it is and although the resort itself is pleasant, the rooms are in need of an upgrade as well as the main areas of the lobby, ballroom and meeting rooms. I had no hot water for 2 days until I moved to a more expensive area of the hotel, so worth noting that in the inbound rooms you may not have hot water.

Not a great experience

The property is lovely, but the interior is dated. There were deep scrapes in the walls, broken pieces of trim, broken bathroom drain, no vents in the bathroom, a rusty mini fridge, and the “supreme” room was quite small. They had a party at the pointe on property during our stay which meant 100s of extra visitors crowding the lobby, bathrooms and beach area. We were in the middle of check in when the internet went out, so we were unable to access our room. The outage was not their fault, yet when we returned 2 hours later, they did not offer to let us in our room. I had to explain that we needed to change to get to dinner. They finally let us in with a master key. I mentioned a few of my concerns at check out and the only response was, “I’m sorry”. I was disappointed with our “resort” experience.

Location and Room was nice. Lots of things to do. I would have liked a few more food options. The music at the pool was a little too loud and they were playing different music at the Tiki Bar that overlapped with pool music.

To be honest- our first night was a nightmare due to multiple problems with our room. We checked in late, so somehow survived till am. Multiple people started to work on several issues, eventually the menager on a day shift was able to find us another room and we moved. The second room was in a perfect condition- and we trully enjoyed our stay. Will return!

Beach Club was in a beautiful location on the water. We enjoyed the water taxi and the hotel shuttle to Charleston for easy convenience. Only complaint was the Fish House took a very long time every time we ate there from being seated, waited on and wait for food. Staff were wonderful all over the resort. I would stay here again and recommend to everyone.
